What do you mean "they"? IRCC?
My marriage certificate wasn't attested by anybody. In fact I never ever contacted Ministry of External Affairs of India in my life.

Thanks Karthik for your reply!! That's what my understanding was too as it said in the guide that certified copies are required only when not in English or French. Did your marriage certificate had a stamp that said "External Affairs Ministry need to authenticate this document if this document is to be utilized by Foreign missions in India"??

I am kinda little confused & as I am about to submit my application, I am looking for help from all seniors here who have already gone through this process and know exactly what is required. So do I submit attested photocopy or just the photocopy? Replies are highly appreciated. Thanks.

I would suggest to everyone here that do not set up a trend. There are 3 friends of mine who have applied with me, pretty much same documents as we have prepared our file together but 1 of them has got it in Sept and rest 2 have got it in Nov. I was the only one left. So it does not matter when did you apply, all matters is who is handling your file. It can come anytime within a year in between 4 to 12 months.

You mean they got PPR in September and November? Even when they applied in May 2017?
