nope, NDVO is taking somewhere around 10-11 months as of now.
However, some applications are processed under special project (randomly selected) that are processed in near 6 month timeline.

Hi everyone,

How long does it take to hear from cic if the application has been accepted for processing? It’ll be a month tomorrow since I submitted the spousal visa application.

Also I havnt linked my account yet.
Do I need to wait to hear from cic before I can link the application? And can we use the express entry account to link the application?

Thanks!

that is near 30 days. I am not sure about the current AOR1 trend, but back in june-july it was near 30 days.
nothing to worry, you will hear soon. CIC is working efficiently, all the files get stuck at NDVO after AOR2.

apna sikka khota toh hai, but IRCC needs to provide enough resources at NDVO.
NDVO process applicants from Afghanistan, India, Nepal, Bhutan.
And it deals with all kinds of visa (Student, Visitor, Worker, Permanent Residence).
Besides, I believe, it is one of the busiest VO.
No doubt NDVO is working slow, but they should be given their due.

Thank you everyone. So the first thing that I hear from cic will be - that they’ve begun processing my application...say in about 30-45 days.

Is this just an acknowledgement that the process has begun or is it aor1 which means that the sponsor has been approved?

Aor 1 is when they send you UcI number which means your file is complete and they have it in their system and they start checking sponser eligibility and will let you know once they have passed it. Then the process goes further..
