No. I stayed in Australia for a year and I was not able to provide them a copy of my police check when I submitted my application. Initially, they just wanted me to submit a copy of a police certificate from my country.
Aaa ok sorry. Yes, then it was because you spent more than 6 months in AUS. If you are able to provide it, this is probably one of the last things they need. You have been selected pending this doc (meaning security /background clearance).

Another question, will my application be affected if I quit my current job?

Where are you located? If in your homecountry, as the PA you will not be affected. Do you have children?

Yes currently at my homecountry. No we don’t have any yet.
Then it does not matter. There is no requirement for you, the PA, to be employed/prove income. If they ask for an updated schedule A form you would have to disclose that you have ended your employment.

Hi @misisef - it looks like @emeritus answered all your questions :)

I was going to add - your application is probably moved into the "background" check mode which is why they are reviewing all your police certificates - it's normal that they ask for PCC for all countries you've lived in for more than 6 months.

What is your timeline?
I was thinking about that too, however, when I checked my GCkey account it says my BG check has not yet started. Submitted our application on Sep 15 2017, got our AOR on Oct 26 2017; MR on November 2017; File transferred to Manila VO on Dec 2017 and got pre-arrival services letter last Feb 16.

Hi @misisef I think the BG doesnt get updated as often as we think in the GC key. Many posters have said that the check takes place and you get the DM BGC and PPR update all on the same day.

For example, we got our pre arrival letter on Jan 9th and no updates since! So they might be processing without updating :) I believe you will hear something soon! Keep us posted please and good luck!

Everybody gets them. Even if you live in Canada, you can benefit from those services. I sure know I would have wanted them to be available when I immigrated, and I had already lived in Canada for 3 years.

It varies, it can be anything between 3 weeks to 2 months. Did you attend PDOS? Are you moving to Manitoba?
