Hi,

My I am a March 28th applicant. My husband got the pre arrival email on Jan. 11 and until now, no updates. We are on the 11th month already and I am afraid that his paper must have been left out or something. As mush as possible, I want him to have enough time to leave before the visa expires. Considering the cost of the plane ticket is very expensive if you dont book in advance. Any insights to this? Thank you!

If you got the pre-arrival services email, you are getting COPR for sure. But sometimes it can take long. We know someone coming from the Philippines who waited about 6 weeks between the prearrival email and COPR.

If it has been more than, say, 2 months, I suggest sending a message through the online form for follow up of individual cases. If you don't know how to access it, let me know and I'll post it here.

I am march 9 2017 applicant. I received my pre arrival email on 21st dec. And havent received any msg from the VO yet. I think they have not started my background process.

Hi,

One of the people in this forum told me that after the application is sent to the VO, thats the time they do the BGC, criminality and all that. When you are cleared, then thats the time they send you a pre arrival email (for those who were approved). Which VO are you?

Now it's like that, because of the changes in the processing of medical requests. Many people are getting the pre-arrival letter shortly after the MR, at the same time, or sometimes even before MR.
