Hello Everyone,

We received our ITA on March 14th .

Please let me know if it's better to wait till you apply to do your Medical exam or if it's better to do right away. I got an appointment for March 27th , but am planning on re-scheduling the appointment to some time in May since we have 90 days and it's better to complete the medical test on a date closer to when we would be submitting the application. Please advice.

Looking forward to your thoughts
medical last thing - when you have all documents ready, schedule your medical.

HI,

Who is the primary applicant? you or your wife? Because I read somewhere on the cic website that you don't need employer reference letter for the second applicant.
yup, you don't need employee reference letter for the spouse because you cannot claim points (unless the experience is specifically in CANADA). Whatever you cannot claim points for/don't want to claim points for goes in the PERSONAL HISTORY section of the application, which means accurate information needed, but no proof required to substantiate it.

How do I schedule the medical tests in Mumbai. I went to the CIC website and they have given names of few panel doctors. Is it as easy as calling them up and scheduling an appointment. What is the fees etc.? Is it fixed or depends on the individual doctor?

Also, are there any advantage or disadvantages to paying the application fee and RPRF together vs. paying application fee right now and RPRF at a later date. Request seniors to please guide.

Hi

Got my ITA. I had a question with the online form:

After I complete the forms, if I hit the continue button, would I still be able to come back and correct what I had put in forms?

yup. Each time you log in, the first screen will show you the forms. Press 'Continue' and you'll get the doc upload fields.

I am not a senior of course (as you can see from my signature), but no it doesn't make any difference. They'll send you an update asking you to pay the RPRF once the application is at a certain stage.

yup, as easy as that. They'll send you an email once you book. I am getting mine done from the Andheri branch and they have quoted INR 4100 per head, which seems reasonable.

No fasting which is ;)

Hi

How old can these docs be on the day of submission
- proof of funds
- police certificate
- medical

Are documents supposed to be in pdf format unless mentioned otherwise (e.g., photo)

My spouse’s ielts was not captured on my ITA as her result had expired before I received ITA on 14 March. Language for spouse score was “0”. Does she need to retake the ielts as well?
