Spouse Open Work permit

Hey there all
I am living in canada as a foreign worker and i am holding open workpermit of one year.
I have submitted file of OWP for my wife from india on 2nd march 2018 with medical upfront.
As we got married in january 18th 2018 .
Would it affect for visa bcz its not been long time when we got married.
Can someone answer me?
And howmuch time it takes usually?
Currently which date applied files are getting results?

yes, i uploaded Whatsapp chat history and even facebook. and i showed at least 40 pictures of my wedding and some of the other places where we had been to. because they are very suspicious about the relationship as it is an spouse open work permit.

i would highly suggest you have patience. Even it took me a year to sort out everything. i just got medical and Passport request. The marriage pictures, Proof of relationship, Whatsapp history chat facebook stuff like that i uploaded along with my application under optional documents and letter of explanation. Once your additional document are reviewed they will send you a medical request. it depends on the immigration officer and volume of the applications submitted to the concerned embassy. i would say, Since the may intake is coming therefore the work permit applications are being delayed because Spouse open-work permit is a least priority i guess.

No they didn't ask me, because i provided all that stuff when i uploaded the application to CIC. we can say that your application was incomplete thats why your application is being delayed.

No, nothing is wrong i just thought. let me explain this.
My cousin applied his spouse visa last year 22 of December 2017. but her wife has student visa till June 2018. now he got approved. My Question to you is Will he get Three months of work permit? it doesn't make any sense right? he got his medicals done even he submitted his passport to the VFS after getting passport request, and i checked his status it was approved. more than that i gave call to cic they said "we are pleased to confirm that your application was approved, you need to send us you valid passport so that we can finalize the application."

Hi Everyone..

I applied on behalf of my husband..SOwP.
I am currently on PGWP.

IMM 5257 is in optional documents..there is issue with its submission.So I submitted application without that form thinkinv its optional.

Will that be issue??

Applied SOWP last February 6, 2018 along with my husband's application for work permit under express entry. He got his approval and passport with visa last February 21, 2018. I am still waiting for my medical request, on my 5th week of waiting now. As per my country (Philippines), 7 weeks is the processing time here, so 2 more weeks. Hoping and wishing for a positive outcome so me and my husband can fly together to Canada

Any update? Those applied after 20 january....
