Hello ,

I have some questions regarding how to get the PCC , though i have went through all the process i have a very specific doubt.

Old Passport - RPO Ahemadabad
New Passport - Renewal at RPO Bengaluru - police verification was waived off

Currently living and working in singapore

Aadhar Card address is the one with the old passport

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

shall i take an appointment at the Bengaluru RPO or the Ahmedanad RPO?

what will be the best case for me.

Any suggestions in the matter will be appreciated.

Best Regards,

If you are in Singapore just fo to the Indian embassy over there and apply for it.
but my understanding is i require two PCC because i have stayed in india and in singapore for more than 6 months.

One PCC i have to take from singapore.

and another one from India.

is my understading correct.

getting a PCC from indian embassy (in singapore) should not be a challenge.

but getting a PCC from india will be a challenge. (just wanted to understand if anyone has faced the same issue)

You have to get 2 PCC, One from Singapore government and One from Indian government. So, it donen't matter from where you ger 2nd one. Indian embassy or from Ahmedabad India.

More information you can find here

Thank you so much for the useful information. Both can be retrieved while in Singapore and no need to go to India.

Understood it clearly now.

Much appreciated.

thank you once again.

Thank you so much for your Help.

But Both Indian Consulate in Singapore and Singapore Government -- Need requisition letter from the IRCC.

so in this case i will be submitting a document which says i am applying from a country that requires an official request letter from IRCC to get a police certificate.

so i will submit all other documents and wait for the IRCC to come back.

is my understanding correct.?

No you should not just get your invitation to apply and some other proofs which says you are required to submit PCC and that's it. YOU MUST NOT SUBMIT APPLICATION WITHOUT IT. IRCC will not provide any documents asking for PCC from your country.

This is what stated in your invitation letter just use that one and get PCC

"
You should immediately start gathering all the supporting documents and information you need to include on your
application so that you can submit your application within the 90-day deadline. Please note that some
documents, such as police certificates, may take some effort and time to acquire so begin gathering
these documents now.
