Hi there,

I am in process of submitting my profile for the consideration to be invited for the Express Entry PR program. I am hoping that someone can help me with a few questions/answers that I am struggling with:

Background:
  • I graduated with a Master Degree from a recognized Canadian university on May 2016
  • Shortly after graduation, I was granted a 3 year PGWPP visa (Open Work Permit - no restrictions)
  • Company 'A' gave me an offer letter for a full time, permanent employment (NOC 6222). I accepted and worked there from Jul 2016 to Dec 2017
  • On Nov 2018, company 'B' gave me an offer letter for a full time, permanent employment with better pay (NOC 1122). I accepted this offer and have been working there from Feb 2018.
  • I am using the NOC 6222 from my job at Company A to apply satisfy the experience requirements for the Express Entry
The questions that I am struggling with are with the following:

SECTION: Work History
Sub Section: Intended Work in Canada

  1. Does YYY have a job offer in Canada?
    My answer: YES

  2. Does YYY have a valid work permit for the current job in Canada?
    My Answer: YES

  3. Is YYY's job offer from the employer named on the current work permit?
    My Answer: NO

  4. Has YYY been working full-time for the employer on their current work permit for at least one year? (Or for an equal amount of part time work?)
    My Answer: NO

  5. Four digit NOC code of current work permit?
    My Answer: NOC 1122
Please let me know if you think that my answers are correct or incorrect. I am especially stuck on Q#4 & Q#5. As you can see, I have worked for Company A for more than 1 year. However, for Company B, I have only worked for approx. 1.5 months ... and I am not sure if Q#5 is relevant for my most recent job or is it referring to my previous job?

Thanks to all who have taken the time to read my message.
Dan T.

Answer "No" to the very first question and all others will disappear. You cannot have a valid job offer on a PGWP.
