Are you sending your passport through the CVAC in Belgrade?

From what I read on multiple threads, most people have received their passport back in 2-3 weeks.

Don't you worry you are not alone my wife's application its from MAY 24 August 2nd Vienna got our application after 9 Months they reply with on the additional documents : NOT APPLICABLE

I received that a week ago, on our application too. my application has been in Vienna for 4 months. have you had any further movement with your application? and besides the obvious what does that really mean? did they just open the files and confirm I have all the documents or are they processing?

To answer on your Question Vienna only replay with email that they have gotten your application and that IS AOR2

I guess I still have to wait for AOR2. Is there a timeframe for that, because the transfer letter mailed by CIC was on Feb 6, 2017.

Not sure i talked to MP here in Mississauga and he told me that
update is from immigration means that they dont need anything from us and that everything its going like it should , My wife's application its in Vienna from Avugst 2nd and

Yes,I am July application. I know one more person who gets to pay fee today,she is also July application.I know how you feel,that is how I was feeling up to today.I know a lot of people who got pr for shorter time then me even.I hope so that you will get soon.Try to order AITP notes(I am not sure that I wrote right name for that),cost you 5$ and they send you all resume of your application,and then you will be able to see what they complete and what not. Also,did they start processing your background check?

I ordered notes in September and nothing was started. I contacted the MP and they checked in my file and they said the same thing that is on my CIC account. Eligibility hasn’t started, background check hasn’t started.
I thought Vienna works in family sponsorship from the order received? My husband and I have lived together for 4 years, and we have been apart for over 1 year waiting.
We paid our fees and I was optimistic about the new processing time, but it’s jusg a bunch of BS!

In the online account, the documents line changes from “We do not need additional documents” to “The additional documents you provided have been uploaded” so I dont know if that means that they are re-reviewing my application or if maybe for some reason it just reverted back to an old note.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Hey Rina! My husband has the same exact line. It’s been like that for a while. I was actually curious if anyone else at Vienna VO also had that. It’s weird...we don’t really know what to make of it.

My cousin just told me that her husband’s changed to that last week! this is strange lol

@RinaMuhaxhiri Agreed. I seriously wish there was a more transparent way for them to show what’s going on. I feel like the gc key updates are so ambiguous and that Vienna doesn’t even update it as it should. Though the background check did start for my husband while the status was like this. Maybe yours and your cousins will start soon too? It doesn’t make sense because the documents are Schedule A and PCCs so they should have reviewed them for the background check to start...ugh no idea

You totally hit the mark! It’s unbelievable that they are only able to provide vague information for something as important as this. At the very least I feel they should leave a brief comment explaining the change in the status such as: “We need to re-evaluate the documents before continuing with the background check”

Also, I wonder what else they look for in a background check that we have not already provided when providing the police certificate along with the Schedule A. It literally says that there is no criminal history found lol

You're not alone, I also had the same line change a few days ago!... As for me, the only document I had to upload was Schedule A, PCC was upfront. I really hope it's a sign that our application is moving forward.

Hmm I can’t say exactly to be honest but I think pretty soon after...10 days or so.

And as for the other info, they run the applicant through a number of databases: CBSA, CSIS, FBIs international crime database (linked to terrorist information I believe but can’t say 100%), and I’m sure Interpol as well for Vienna. I’m sure the main thing that gets held up with background check is the immigration officer doing the final review of whatever information they receive. Also Vienna does NOT update the BGC (for us I think it was totally random that they did). You can see a lot of applicants have it in process for a couple of days and then get DM. Which makes no sense so BGC must be already started from the moment they receive your medicals, Sched A and PCC.

Unfortunately it’s just a waiting game for us at Vienna I’m going to order GCMS notes any day now and let you know when I receive them what they say so at least we can compare some info.
