From charitable work visa to PR

Hi there! I'm meandering through my route to PR and looking for advice on my situation. I just had my charitable work visa approved for 36 months (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/temporary-residents/foreign-workers/labour-market-impact-assessments/canadian-interests-charitable-religious-work-r205-exemption-code-c50.html). It does say that participants in this program may be eligible to apply for PR, but I can't seem to find any more information on this. Can I gather extra points towards my CRS score while I'm on this visa? I want to make sure I do what I can from the start of this visa to increase my chances of PR before it runs out. Does anyone know what route for PR you are "supposed to" take when applying as a participant in this program? Or any advice at all regarding going from this charitable visa to PR? I just have a really hard time finding info on my situation since the charitable visa seems to be fairly uncommon.

Thanks a lot

Hi

If your job is skilled and you work long enough, you can claim points for Canadian experience.

Thank you, that's what I thought. My job should count as skilled, as of what NOC it is, however, what I'm unsure about is because I'm working for a charity my position is not a full paid one (and this is also a requirement for the charity work visa). Can I still count this work experience (as long as I have more than 12 months)?

Once you've worked in Canada for a full year, you'll be able to claim additional points

Work experience has to be paid to count towards CEC, EE or any other immigration program. When you say that you aren't fully paid - what do you mean by that? How are you compensated?

Hi, yes, I thought this would be an issue. I get accommodation including utilities provided + a "stipend" of 500 dollars a month. I just find it misleading if they write that the charity work visa can make you eligible for PR, but then at the same time you need a job that pays more than what you are allowed to make when on this visa...

And "once you've worked in Canada for a full year, you'll be able to claim additional points". I thought you could only apply through these streams (CEC etc) once you have 12 or more months of work experience?

To the best of my knowledge that won't be considered as work experience for either CEC or EE/FSW. Do you have paid work experience from outside of Canada that might qualify you for Express Entry?

Thanks a lot for your help! No, I've been struggling with the work experience part, for the past 3 yrs I've been 2 yrs on IEC visas in Canada (I did have a skilled job while on these, but since I hadn't planned to apply for PR at this point I didn't check the requirements and ended up just a month or so short of 12 months...) The last 10 months (before my current visa) I was on a tourist visa in Canada so no work done then. Any full-time work experience from abroad was 6+ yrs ago since before I came to Canada I did a 3 yr bachelor in Sweden (I know this will give me points, but as far as I understand with out the 12 or more months of work experience I can't even apply). I really wish I had planned for PR from the start...
