I am about to apply for my Common in Law Permanent Residency. I just have some basic questions to ask.

I am currently on an Open Work Permit (IEC Working Holiday) and been with my Girlfriend for over 1 year.

Apart from the normal Common in Law forms, should I apply for a Open Work Permit/Extension (IMM5710e)? As I would like to continue working with my employer and support bills etc.

My IEC Working Holiday expires in September 2018.

I am from New Zealand originally just to add.

As long as you are submitting an INLAND application, you should submit the OWP app as well. The OWP takes 3-4 months to arrive in the mail. So you will no longer need your IEC to continue working after September, as long as you have your OWP by then.

If you didn't apply for the OWP, or if you applied later and it hadn't arrived yet, then you would need to stop working after your IEC expires.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for confirming with me on that, I had the form completed I just wasn't sure to include it and if I would be missing anything else.
