It's the RCMP CRIMINAL check. So it's different from immigration finger print. I did that too during my application. So that won't be any problem. They just wanna make sure you have no criminal record.
Thanks. ! It is CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK based on FINGERPRINTS

The letter from CIC to RCMP....... CIC requires that applicants for permannet residence obtain original police certificates for all countries where they have lived for six months or longer.. the applicant has been residing in Canada for at least six month.....Kindly send the resuls directly to CIC at the address indivate above...

May be my experience with medical exam would help somebody...

When I noticed that my medical exam would expire in several days (after being done a year ago), I wrote an email to CIC asking them to have a look at my exam results and to add that to the file (if there were no medical problems found). I also said that I ask them to do that because I didn't want the results to expire and to take another exam :)))
So, they did.

i've seen cases where ircc would reuse an old medical exam. although i personally had to redo mine a couple of months ago. it can go either way.

I think we still need to do medical exam. I’m not sure. I was looking at my visitor visa application and owp application
Mine also says the same. I've never had a medical test before either...

I guess then it’s just the normal line

Hi,

I have applied for the family class application for my spouse in last January 2018 but haven't received a file number yet.
Is anyone there with similar status or any idea?
You have to wait for aor. It contains file number and uci. It takes 8 weeks or earlier from the day they receive it

Hi guys,

So i'm wondering... we had our OWP returned because of incomplete fees. We applied for restoration of status a month ago, because by that point my husband's visitor status had expired. Is there any way to link that application online? Does anyone know? I tried to look under Visitor on myCIC but there was nothing there, I don't think?
I resend my work permit to vergiville. I don’t think you can link it online since it didn’t process yet due to lack of funds. I tried to link mine several times and yesterday I was finally able to link it after I resent the application last january. However my status already expired when I resent it. I sent a webform of my restored status together with an explanation yesterday and I’m gonna wait and see if it can work that way.

I have some stuff do to tonight, so I am mobile. Reading IRPA and IRPR on the phone is not so simple. Google: Canada IRPA . You can also find the control bits within IP-8 Operations Manual (google: cic ip-8). If you want to wait until later on, I can post the exact verbage.
Thanks for the references but I couldn't find anything about the Sponsor being able to leave only if they're a Canadian citizen. Would still appreciate your help with that

Thank you for the reply.
I got a message to my personal email. It starts almost the same - "we are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed". And after they wrote that a local CIC office will contact me to book date/time of the interview.

Did you get your email to MyCIC or to personal email box?
Are you in a smaller city or somewhere like Toronto/Winnipeg/Montreal/etc.? (just interesting why they chose phone interview for you).
This was all through mycic account. I live in the GTA, so I guess a lot of backlog so they decided to the phone interview,

Anyone from June received the medical request yet?

I wish I didn't have to keep asking this but on the spreadsheet the last medical requests are dated Nov 24 and this is inaccurate.

nope not at all, as long you can provide all the ducuments and proof that relationship is genuine.. :) .. gudluck!
You are misleading this person. Of course age is a red flag. Is it not insurmountable but to tell someone it is not a big deal may hurt the preparation they need to do to overcome this flag. Can be done and has been done but is a big deal.

June 16th app. No medical request yet. I spoke to an agent yesterday who advised me it'll be requested soon. Not sure if he actually has that information to hand or not, but it's just a case of waiting and hoping!

Hi Guys,

I am sponsoring my wife under the inland procedure and we are living together in Canada. The complete guide for Background declaration says,

Schedule A – Background/Declaration (IMM 5669)

You (the principal applicant) and any of your family members 18 years of age or older (who are not already Canadian citizens or permanent residents) must fill out, print, and sign a this form.

Does the above mean, she needs to submit a copy of background declaration for her parents and sister along with hers?

I am so confused. When I asked this questions before, some people said she needs to submit it for herself only as her family is only we two after the marriage. But some said, its required for her parents and sister as well.

Please help me clear this confusion.

Thanks
