Hello folks!

My previous employer is not willing to add "Worked X hours per week" on the employment letter - saying that they can only issue per format. I did not find hours in the payslips either.

Did anyone else face this situation? What are my alternatives? Please help!

The term "full-time" or "part-time" should be sufficient.

I have been reading that it is not sufficient as full-time is different for each country and CIc wants to know if I have worked for at least 30 hours per week.

Any opinion from seniors?

I'm on the same boat here, "full-time" but no specific hours. Anyone? :(

I had a job where I worked in both full-time and part-time capacity over a period of over a couple of years. My employment reference letter also does not have the number of hours specified.

Could someone who has already had their PR approved and who had been in a similar situation be able to provide any insight to us? Any help would be much appreciated by all.

I am not sure about this but I have heard like we can make an affidavit stating, full time as well as 30 hours/week and get it signed from an employee who you worked with.

Again not sure how effective is this method.
Do let me know if you have some other alterative.

Thanks

Guys,

No of hours doesn't matter, the term full-time or part time is sufficient. Basically the reference letter is to cross check whether you worked for that firm(Experience) and to validate your specified NOC. if CIC doesn't satisfy with your documentation they will crosscheck with your employer or even ask you to provide ADR.

Hello there. It's been over a year since last reply on this thread. I am on same situation now. Did everyone got PR even though hours were not stated in reference letter? I worked full time/40 + hours a week but employer did not state that in letter. My consultant drafted a letter explaining how the employer was not willing to provide this info. Anyone who got PR without stating work hours?

TIA

Hi! I got my PR after all. I had "full time" in my letter from employer but I also included an explanation letter to address this (and also because I had different hours a week, I was a teacher). This was my main NOC and work experience so I wanted to clarify everything I could.

It's best if you include the LoE your consultant is drafting, you want to be as safe as possible.

Good luck!

Do you mind sharing your LOE here?

I'm also a teacher and facing the same problem. It would be amazing if I could get an idea of what I should write
