Hello,
I became a PR through EE-CEC, after landing I decided to quit my job(cook), and to find a less stressful job, but unsussceful, so I was unemployed for about 11 months, after that I went back to College to study full time for another diploma.
Does this unemployment and studying full time trigger RQ or other complications? Because I read that IRCC wants people to work, especially I was adimitted though CEC. Please share your thoughts and experience, appreciated.

Yes for sure CIC will ask you if you working. That big important question the ask is ARE YOU WORKING? OR U STILL WORKING IN THE SAME COMPANY? But if you had reasonable answer they will understand. I Have 4 month gap between working period, he ask me why is that? I told him I took time off from work. But I never recived any money from Goverment or claim EI. So he said ok. And I have DM

I left my job to start a new career.

I spent two years in a full time program and my wife was the only person working during this period.

They asked me why I wasn't working and I told them the truth. Today I'm citizen.

Always be honest and never lie. They know when you are not telling the truth.

Good luck

it doesn't matter for citizenship application. At worse they'd think you're not residing here (not in your case) and send you a RQ. I know of cases where they never [officially] worked after landing ~ became citizens and weren't even asked 'why' in their interview.

lol, sorry, just curious
Hope this clears your curiosity.

A stay-at-home dad (alternatively, stay at home father, house dad, SAHD, househusband, or house-spouse) is a father who is the main caregiver of the children and is generally the homemaker of the household. As families have evolved, the practice of being a stay-at-home dad has become more common and socially acceptable
Stay-at-home dads have been seen in increasing numbers in Western culture, especially in Canada, the UK and the United States since the late 20th century. In developed East Asian nations such as Japan and South Korea, this practice is less common.

There are several reasons why some families feel that it would be more beneficial for the father to be the primary caregiver while the mother works outside the home. The decision to use a stay-at-home dad arrangement is most commonly due to economic reasons. At the same time, women are progressing into higher-paying jobs. There are now financial ramifications in deciding whether the mother or father should become the stay-at-home parent. In cases where the woman is the higher-paid parent, it makes more economic sense for her to continue to work while the man takes on the caregiver role. It also makes sense at times the mother's job offers health benefits for the family whereas the father's does not.

I am planning for my application next month. Have a question related to this.

At some point, for five months, i was doing some freelance work along with a job. The freelance work was not much in terms of revenue. only some pocket money.
The question is should i show both of these or only the regular job which I was doing while answering item no -(11) (what you were doing...?)
Thanks in advance :)

If that freelance work was taxable (aka you received a T4, or the pay was deposited in bank) you should include it in your application. Else, not required. E.g.:
a) I make Youtube videos. They are monetized and the Google Adsense is directly deposited in my bank a/c. I had listed it in my application.
b) I do aftermarket re-designing of certain products, as a hobby. People like it and many bring theirs to me for the upgrade/remodelling. They pay, but it is "cash" and one-off. I did not mention it in my application.

@qorax
Thank you very much for the reply:)

I was not having any T4. But I since my client was a company, I used to get payment through cheque though the amounts were very small. And I have shown my self employment income while filing income tax. So, from your reply, I guess it is better to show this work also, even though the amounts were small.

I have another related question also.

Right now (since Oct 17) , I am not employed anywhere. I am not doing any work for any client. But I am in the process of making a website on my own. Like in your case, my intention is to monetize through Adsense. I have already created Adsense account etc. I can show other proofs like web hosting payment etc. I may get some money or not in the future. But as on now, no income from that.

So, I think for my current situation also I can say freelance work, Right? (Before reading your comment I was doubting whether I should write "unemployed", since I do not have a client in this case and no income generated so far)

Thanks in advance!!!

Mention "unemployed". Since it is not a regular (and countable) income. However, explain the freelance work as a remark.

Does unemployment for a year affect Citizenship process? Maybe
Does it result in no Citizenship? No

Other than that, you should not worry and do what they ask you to do. Period. Dont try to overthink, blame yourself or over-complicate the process.
