Pregnancy after PR Visa

Hi

I have my PR visa and was planning to travel in April 2018. I just got to know that I have conceived. Can someone please help me with the following questions:

1. Is this considered to be a change in physical condition?
2. Do I need to inform the IRCC about this change?
3. Will I be eligible for the maternity benefits under the healthcare insurance?

1, 2 - No
3 - If you land in Canada, find a job, and work enough (600 hours) to qualify for maternity EI benefits, only then would you be eligible for maternity leave pay: https://www.canada.ca/en/services/benefits/ei/ei-maternity-parental/eligibility.html

You don't need to inform IRCC. Depending on the province you land in, you may not have provincial health coverage until July. You would have to pay for everything out of pocket until then.

I am in same situation as yours. My wife and I got PPR last week and then we discovered that she is pregnant

Can you please guide us if we should inform cic about it or not?
What did you do when you were in similar situation?
