They can just see the number.

You should be aware though that based on how that number begins tells them if it's a temporary SIN or a permanent SIN. In the case of a temporary SIN they can ask you to provide proof that it is still valid for employment purposes (I.E. asking you for a valid work permit)

Apply for her Work permit, once you receive her WP, apply for SIN.

I went to the service Canada in this regard. They told me to apply for her WP first once she is 16. Then apply for SIN online. I applied for her WP on 31 Dec., and she gave her biometric on 30th Jan. Now waiting.

There is no way to get SIN for the associate claimant (minor) except by applying for WP.

Depends on your child’s status in Canada.
