You'll get CIC e-mail. Even if you're nominated, your status won't change in your OINP portal dashboard until you accept the nomination in your CIC account and the update is fully processed (listing the nomination acceptance and processing the 600 PNP points in you CRS score). Only then your status in OINP portal will change to Approved.
If you receive a PFL, you'll receive an e-mail from OINP with the PFL's contents attached. The hint for both ADR and PFL is having your OINP dashboard status changed to Awaiting Information, so of you see that change and don't get an e-mail from OINP, contact them ASAP (either e-mail or phone).
So I recommend you check your OINP account once daily, preferably late afternoon Ontario time (4-5pm). Most of their updates happen at this time (all my updates happened at around 4pm Ontario time).
