Hi! Ill be sponsoring my "To-be-wife" after we get married next month.

I had a question about details of your visits during your relationship. I have known my girlfriend / to-be-wife for almost 3 years, we have travelled together, met each other almost every single day before I moved to Canada last October. I officially proposed to her before leaving.

How do I show visits in this case? One obvious visit would be when I stay with her for a few days after the official marriage next month? How do I show other "visits" or "meetings" or our travel together? Ill ofcourse show that in our attached documents but is there any way to put those in the "Visit" detail section in the IMM5532 form?

The best way is if you have any pictures of your visits, receipts, artifacts (proof of going to an event - could be tickets for example) that you share together.

Also, will you be living together after you're married? If yes, then you don't need to provide details in question 4 as it states "If you are not living together, have you visited each other during your relationship?".

Hi Michyy, thank you for your reply! The issue is we have travelled and stayed together during our trips and seen each other every day before the marriage because we were in the same city. After the marriage, all I can show is 1 day stay in a hotel and pictures with family after the wedding, but that would just count as one visit.

I cant include our premarriage visits and stays in THIS SECTION of the application right? (ofcourse in the pictures and the last part where they ask to state anything else to make the application stronger, ill mention about our pre-marriage relationship of 2 years)

I think they just mean in general, so yes even pre-marriage visits would count. I am not 100% sure of that though.

Yes, you would include the visits before you were married because that shows CIC that your relationship is genuine and you were together as a couple before getting married. You can write the details on a separate piece of paper and include it with the application.

So I called IRCC today and spoke to an agent. They said that even though post marriage visits must be emphasized on in IMM5532 Part C, Question 4 , but I could also mention pre-marriage visits separately in the letter of explanation as well as in Part C Question 11.
