8.0
Just got my result. Why listening why
In the past people have seen their scores jump by 0.5 in writing by going for recheck, I'd recommend you go for rechecking but its your decision to make.Hi Guys, I got mine as
Listening 8, Reading 8, Speaking 8 and Writing 6.5 My overall is 7.5 but due to writing my score is 399. Do you think there is a chance to boost by 0.5 by applying for rescoring ?
Agreed! I’m also planning to apply for a remark - I have the same issue with my writing (6.5) while Reading 9, Listening 8.5 and Speaking 8 are all in line with expectations. If a 0.5 jump is all you need, it’s a good idea to apply for a remark in a subjective skill like writing. But bear in mind it will take 10-12 weeks to get the results if you took your IELTS through BC. IDP is much faster apparently. Best of luck and may you get the rise in scores you need!In the past people have seen their scores jump by 0.5 in writing by going for recheck, I'd recommend you go for rechecking but its your decision to make.
What? Did they tell you any reasons why you couldn't access your scores online? How long does it take to receive your paper based test reports? My center said I will have to wait for the mailed result - so there you go! Another 10 days of mystery!
I'm in a pretty similar situation (L: 8.5 R: 8.5 W: 6.5 S:7) so I'll apply for EOR as well, since I truly think that my writing and speaking were better, and it isn't thaaaat expensive (around 80 dollars, they told me) although I think I'll ask them to check just the Writing, because a 7 in Speakings works for me (so there's really no point in risking Speaking going down, even if that's not very likely). But I will present the exam again in March, that way I'll have 2 shots.Agreed!
