Medical
I am August 17th applicant(sponsoring my wife). Medical was done along with confirmation that file was transferred at LVO in November 2017, but no word after that.
Visa counterfoil has been issued 1 day after passport was submitted to VFS Global. Application status, eligibility, and final decision has been updated! Everything is APPROVED!! WOOOOHOOOOOOO!!! Now all that's left is my spouse to get the pre-departure sticker affixed to her passport and to get an airline ticket to bring my spouse to the port of entry!!! Spreadsheet updated. For some reason, the Manila VO will request your passport first and no decision is made until the counterfoil is placed into your passport. For privacy, your name, UCI#, document number, and status will have information displayed according to your original application.
That's very good! It took close to 3 weeks until the background check started then passport request and final decision comes. Hang in there! You will get those soonThat's great congratulations. I've got same VO as you. Last communication from MVO was Feb. 2 when I got pre-arrival letter. Haven't heard anything since. Hopefully not too much longer, though I expect it to be some time.
It depends on the vo. I beleive manilla needs it to be 12. I saw a new delhi ppr that said 6. I also saw a paris ppr that had no specific timeframe. The visa to land expires after 12 months of the medical regardless.Hi is it require to have valid passport for min. O12 months
If your VO is Manila, they need 12 months validity. For landing on the visa, it's based on the date you passed your medical exam. In the event you don't land before the expiration of the single entry visa, it gets cancelled and you start the whole process over again from the start.Hi is it require to have valid passport for min. O12 months
The CoPR will expire 12 months after the medical, or on the expiry of the passport, whichever comes first. So if you have less than 12 months on your passport your CoPR validity will never extend beyond this date (sometimes IRCC will give an extension on the Medical Results). It depends on the vo. I beleive manilla needs it to be 12. I saw a new delhi ppr that said 6. I also saw a paris ppr that had no specific timeframe. The visa to land expires after 12 months of the medical regardless.

I am excited for you. Again, congratulations. And yes, there is light at the end of the tunnel. I am hoping, but not expecting, that my wife can be approved before the end of March, as I would really like to get her here by the end of April or early May.That's very good!
