Do all EE applications have paper files in LVOs?

Hi,

I've received my GCMS notes recently. I noticed that my application has a paper file (see image below) at my Local Visa Office (Singapore) even though I applied through EE (not paper-based). Is it normal for everyone? or its only for selected applications?

Here is my application timeline (PNP-Outland):
AOR: 12 September 2017
IP1: 6 October 2017
Medical Pass: 15 December 2017
NA2: Not seen
IP2: 18 December 2017 (and stuck at IP2 since then)

We have almost the same timeline, OINP, SGVO too. But no paper file like yours.

So, it's not for all applications... Hopefully, there is nothing wrong with my file that will make the process slower :(

I submitted ADR for PCCs in October, and updated PoF through CSE in December... I might have the paper file because of that.

I also have ADR for Travel History, also sent CSE for old passports, and added my spouse in Dec, so not sure about that paper file.

This leaves us with two possibilities:
1. Only selected applications have paper files at LVOs (not sure what would be the criteria).
2. Or, your paper file still to be created.

Hi

I noticed that you added your spouse to your e-APR application in Dec. I want to add my spouse to my application, but a bit confused. Yesterday, I received my nomination from OINP. My CRS before the nomination were 408 (without the spouse). With the spouse accompanying, the CRS would drop below 400. This is why I did not add my spouse from the very beginning in order to receive my NOI.

Which you think is better: adding the spouse after the nomination and before the ITA, or adding the spouse at a later stage just like what you have done?

I was legally single when I got my nomination and when I submitted my e-APR. I did not purposely add my spouse post-AOR as our engagement and marriage occured months after AOR.

For your case, you are already married when you applied to OINP and when you received the ITA. If you add your spouse as accompanying now (before submitting e-APR), your CRS will be recalculated, and you also need to notify the nominating province since you were awarded with the nomination with non-accompanying spouse.

You cannot add your spouse to your application, if it makes your points go below the cut-off. This will make your entire profile ineligible. Now, your only option is to sponsor your spouse after you get your PR. Also I hope that by saying, "without the spouse" you meant "non-accompanying spouse", otherwise it is a case of misrepresentation and you can never add your spouse.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

Actually, I already requested from OINP to add my family members before they issued my nomination. They emailed me back confirming their receipt of my request. If they objected to the inclusion of my spouse, they would have informed me before issuing me the nomination. However, I am still waiting for their email to give a final confirmation of adding the spouse.

Even if my points are to be re-calculated, my points after adding the spouse will be 980.

Yes, before the nomination, if I had added my spouse, my points would have decreased below 400, and I would no longer be eligible for the nomination. Now I am nominated, with 1008 points in total and want to add my spouse, which will result in my points getting decreased to 980. Am I ok?

For receiving ITA in EE there won't be any problem with this, but for OINP by adding your spouse you are getting less than 400. I think that you have to wait for the reply from the province with final confirmation and hope that there will be no issues.

If OINP already acknowledged your request to add your spouse as accompanying, I guess you are good to go. I suggest you add an LOE for the change of accompanying spouse and include the acknowledgment email from OINP too.

Good luck.

Yes, I will be awaiting their reply. If they confirmed, things will be ok, I guess.
