Hi there, are you a Canadian permanent resident or citizen? If you’re a premanent resident you’re required to stay in Canada during the entire process for spousal sponsorship, and if you left should return as soon as possible. If you’re a citizen then you’re fine and you don’t need to inform CIC.Also as the sponsor, do I have to say to CIC that I have moved to Germany while the sponsorship is in process?
I guess we're all still waiting...What's happening so quiet?
I really hope it isn't 16 months because that would be really devastating for all of us... Let's hope the wait time is 12 months of less because I was looking at last year's spreadsheet and most of the Vienna applicants had their decision made and landed after 8-1/2 months. So I contacted someone through a friend of a friend that is fairly high up in the in immigration processes, his responds which I am not pleased to say was for Vienna visa office average current turn over rate is 16 months... they are trying to get it down to 12 months. This is what I was told and I am devastated in all honesty but I wanted to notify everyone that may want a legitimate wait time or (mean) according to him for wait times at the Vienna visa office. hoping for earlier turn overs, good luck to everyone.
I did the same thing it looked like in the 6-8 month turnover range for most applicants but I don't know, that was all the information I was given.. im only 6 months in another 10 would be horrible and a lot of unnecessary expenses of me travelling to visit.. hopefully we see progress thoughI really hope it isn't 16 months because that would be really devastating for all of us... Congrats! When did you apply??Hello guys.
This is an update from me.

Thank you.Congrats! When did you apply??
Hey @RinaMuhaxhiri I remember you wrote earlier that you submitted a formal complaint to Vienna. Did you ever hear anything back from them? We’re waiting until about 3 months have passed since they started the background check processing (which will be beginning/middle of March) to request GCMS notes. I’m not expecting to hear from them at all for the next several months though...given their reputation...Congrats! When did you apply??
Hey! no they never responded unfortunately. I have a feeling it will be a long journey so I am booking a two week trip in April to go and visit my husband. I’m going to go surprise him LOLHey @RinaMuhaxhiri I remember you wrote earlier that you submitted a formal complaint to Vienna. Did you ever hear anything back from them?
