February 2018 - Citizenship Applicant

My application was turned back because I missed to put the name of my son’s father / info. I received the application fotm returned back to me today Feb 19 but the letter dated Feb 12. I will mail back again the application form tomorrow. The officer says, I have complete application but because I sent incomplete application for my son so all the papers were sent back to me.

Originally, I sent my application on Feb 5 via Canada Post Courier and was received Feb 7 at Halifax Nova Scotia.
 
Do you ever think this will delay the processing but I have faith that it will be on a smooth sailing because theres already a stamped date and they already sort our papers and our pictures. I knew they were processing it already just so bad that I missed to put the info of my sons father.
 
They highlighted the missing question for Fathers Info says, missing info pls complete the highlighted form. And all documents will be returned tomorrow, hopefully it will not delay the processing since there is already an officer working on it.

Mine is a similar case. I was originally December applicant but because of a missing data in my wife's application, full package was returned back. I have sent it back in February. Not sure if it will take full wait time to get AOR or if our files will be processed faster as they have already verified the other applications in the package and marked them as complete.

Based on my experience with PR under CEC once they send back an application or request additional documents and you provide it in a timely manner they do not treat your application as new and therefore the wait time should be less than that of people who applied when you sent your stuff the second time around. I was in a similar situation back in the day with passport request needed to be obtained from a different CPC and it had no effect on the processing time. Also had an issue with police clearance but my application was not treated as new and it was processed with the same timeline as those who applied around my time. Just my 2 cents, don't know if they treat citizenship applications differently buy I doubt they do.

Hi Guys,

I am new here, and I need advise, Please help. A week ago I went to one of those companies that helps you prepare and file your income taxes. Everything was done,However it was mentioned to me that the Online tool for tax submissions from CRA was down, and wouldn't be submitted until it is back up online which is Feb. 26. I sent my application few days ago. However, I realized I made a mistake in the section of the application where it asks me about the taxes. For the year 2017, I ticked Yes to "Have you filed 2017 Tax?". According to the courier, the package is in transit and will be delivered by the end of this week. I am getting really anxious. Going through the PR process alone was stressful, and I hope this is not same

Hi,
Our application for a family of 4 was returned to us yesterday but it was dated 10 Feb. The reason is that we did not submit 2 identification documents for the 2 kids. I wonder what to submit?
Do we need to reprint new application with new presence calculator dates all over again?
We submitted their PR's (with photo) and have nothing else with phot....appreciate your comments
