Here is the updated for you guys. Sep 19th Applicant BGIP in process just now..Most important things I DID upfront medical. so don't confuse about that upfront medical delay the process.
 
Logically, if the officer have reasons to believe that our application will not be processed in due time or will be delayed significantly, we should have received medical re-assessment request by now (some of the september applicants received that if my memory serves me correct). If anyone of us haven't received medical re-assessment request yet, I beleive those applicants are almost at the end of the road.
It should be one year old and automatically system will change it to medical on review or you will get re medical request .
I did mine on last March 6 ,
I am sure if I didn’t hear anything till March 6 , it will get expired and I have to do it again .

Hey Man , happy for you , i am sep 20 , still bg n/a ,when did you submit your medical ??

oh my poor buddy, we really shouldnt do the upfront medical exams.

Sep 19, 2016 th submission( with spouse) Aor Dec 22nd. I did upfront medical on Dec 11th, 2017. after 1 Week got Regular Medical Request as well. Dec 27,2017 medical passed in CIC.

Thank you! only 1 week difference between our timelines, however, my medical is still reviewing.

That is the reason why you got the BGIP as you medical is good for more than 10 months enough to issue you an immigrant visa.

I did in April 2017 good for another 2 months, as per them they send it to Ottawa for extension on 9th Feb.
