AOR: Mar 23-2015
Sponsorship Approval: May 20-2016
File transfer to LVO (Sri Lanka): May 20-2016
PCC, Medical, PR Fee and Supporting Docs Requested: Oct 7-2016
Medical Completed: Oct 26-2016
Medical Furtherance: Nov 3-2016, Feb 2-2017, May 31-2017, Aug 4-2017 and Aug 30-2017
ECAS status changed to Medical Received: Sep 8-2017
ECAS status changed to Decision Made: Sep 19-2017
PPR Letter Received: Sep 22-2017
Passport Submitted: Sep 25-2017
Passport Received: Sep 29-2017
COPR dated Sep 19-2017
Given till Nov 1-2017 to enter Canada. Yikes!!!

This has been a very stressful journey and more to come until my parents are able to find a flight on such short notice and get here.

Hi is anyone aware of what a letter of explanation is? I apply for super visa for my mom last year. She did her medical then they requested for more medical which is completed then for 3months didn't hear from immigration so I email the Accra immigration in Ghana and few days back they have requested for medical again and a letter of explanation. Please help

Am I right in my conclusion that those whose applications are being processed in Ottawa receive their Passport Request a week to 10 days after the background check starts - while those at NDVO have a much longer wait? Does anybody have any thoughts on this - and suggestions?

Their first request was still valid- within 1 year. Is it normal ? Shall I contact CIC or who I should contact in this case ? I’ve only be given 30 days to complete and I have to pay for it again so I want to see if there’s anyone has similar experience. Thanks a lot

Hi,
this mean your application is almost ready for Pass Port request re-medical means that you are not able to land in Canada before the expiry of your old medical so they request again and after submitting re-medical your application finalize very soon

Hello Everyone.
After more than 3 years of wait period, I have finally received a communication from CIC requesting more documentation about my Parents File. Information they have requested is RPRF Fee, IMM5562 (Form for providing information about travel details), PCC from India and finally their CV/Resume. First 3 are fine, no issues in arranging them but I have a doubt about why would they ask for their CV listing all their employment details since the age of 18. Any ideas why is this asked and how should I respond.

In reality, I have provided all this information in the Schedule A forms sent already with my application in 2015. I dont mind sending this again but want to be cautious. Please advise what all information shall be included.

No, my background check from Ottawa was in process for more than a year.

My mother was asked to go through medicals again. we did medicals last May so they should still be valid. How can I let cic know that?
Send them email or do I need to ask medical staff to forward documents from last year to CIC again?

The same information was just requested for my parents-in-law. We submitted an application to sponsor in 2015, and they have been present in Canada during the application time. Not sure why the request for a CV was made, I'm assuming this is just a formality.
