Client Information: Explanation for why you did not acknowledge the refusal for permanent residence when you were a dependant on your parents’ application in 2006. This must be received at this office by: 2018/02/25

The above relates to my wife.. and I wasn't aware of this situation when I applied, because she was under her parents then, and I didn't know her back then.

Kindly guide me on what should I write in LOE.

Hi Folcon,

My AOR is 16th May 2017, CEC inland. (Its almost 9 months!!)
In 3th of November they ask me to submit CV and supplementary form.
My background check changed to " we are processing your background...." in 7th of December.
I did not order gcms note yet, how I can understand I am in SS or no?

The 6 months processing time starts from the day the R10 is passed and not the AoR. The R10 is usually passed 30 days post AoR.

The only way to find about the SS is GCMS notes.

Folks, I received by GCMS notes today and its hard to make sense.. everything looks approved (background, experience etc) but still no movement on the application. can you help me understand what should I look at in GCMS to make sense out of it...

some comments from notes:

RECOMMENDATION: Recommend Pass M12 All .2: Appears Met R75: FSW MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - Appears

what should I make of this?

The eligibility takes places in 2 stages. First a case analyst reviews your documents and makes a recommendation and then an officer will make a final determination. Based on what you have posted, your preliminary eligibility is passed, now the officer will make a final determination. Once done, your security will start and you will receive your PPR.

It is too early for your application to be approved, unless it was one of the lucky ones to be approved within a month. The only way to know the progress is GCMS notes, or you can wait it and see your MyCIC status.

Simply state the truth, that your wife was young and not aware of it and you inadvertently missed this information as she never mentioned it. However, provide the details if you have any.

I can't say much with the limited info you have provided.

I completed my Master of Business Administration (Telecom Management) from SITM, Pune under SIU. After reading many webpages, now I am totally confused about the recognition status of my university with WES.

Hope you can assist me with a couple of questions regarding my GCMS notes based on your experience.
As per my Assessment I have the following notes:
Eligibility: Passed
Security: Blank
HIRV: Blank
Criminality: Not Started
Org Crime: Blank
Medical: Passed
Misrepresentation: Blank
Info Sharing: Complete
Other Request: In Progress
Final: Blank

Under Admissibilities / Security I have only the 4 sentences as below:
UCI#: xxx
Family Name:xxx
Given Name: xxx
Type: Security

As per one of your previous threads, I understood that if only these 4 lines are evident under S then that means the application is not under SS. Correct? My other concern is would that change at a later stage and the application goes under SS?

Another concern is regarding my Criminality. Although it states Not Started under Assessment, There was over 3 notes by the visa officers at the LVO checking on a previous Caution I had in UK (Which I stated in my application) and one of the VO notes mention Crim already passed - Ok to proceed.
My question is why the Assessment Notes and VO notes contradict each other in regards to my Criminality check?

Not sure what the agent was reading and informing you. As soon as the security is completed, the file is approved. It can't be that the security is done and BGC is in progress, unless she means that CSIS part is done and CBSA is remaining.

Thanks LegalFalcon. By the time you read this, I would have completed 9 months post AOR!

BGC started on 2nd Aug which we call as IP2 for our convenience and is still in process. I passed the Eligibility, Criminality and Medicals. There is no mention of SS on couple of GCMS notes that I had ordered in Oct and Nov. Should I order CBSA notes? Will that help to understand that I'm in SS or not? I am really fed up in this long wait of 275 days today...

Pls guide.

I'm very confused about my case. Following is my timeline:
AOR: August 11, 2017 (EE Ontario PNP)
Medical Passed: Sep 6, 2017 (Status Changed to IP2 instead of IP1)
ADR of RCMP: Sep 6, 2017
Submitted RCMP: Sep 21, 2017
Status Changed to "We don't need any additional Documents": Sep 23, 2017
Status again Changed to "We need addition Documents to continue..": Sep 27, 2017
Applied for Notes and according to Notes:
On October 19th, 2017 at CIO Sydney, case agent added a note that "Job Duties don't clearly match NOC. Review required for Lead Statement. Review Required for Roles and Responsibilities"
On October 20th, file transferred to Ottawa.
After that nothing happened and after contacting my employer I provided a revised reference letter (Because my old reference letter did not list Job responsibilities at all) on Jan 3, 2018.
Applied notes again and According to notes,
Revised Employment Letter got attached on Jan 5th, 2018. Still no review by IRCC after Oct 19th, 2017
On Feb 6, 2018, Status of Additional Documents Changed to "We don't need any additional Documents..." (Last time it changed to "We need more..." on Sep 26, 2017.)
I called IRCC on Feb 9th, 2018 to know the status of my application and they said. "Your file has been transferred to London Visa Office yesterday i.e. Feb 8th, 2018".
Now I don't know what's going on. Why did they first transfer my file to Ottawa and then after 3 months, transferred it to London?

P.S. BG status is still IP2 since Sep 6, 2017, and I'm not in Security Screening. IMO that IP2 was a technical glitch because many people who were requested to provide RCMP got IP2. I'm more concerned about what happened on Feb 6th, 2018 when additional document status got changed and after 2 days file transferred to London.

One of my friend who was from FSW stream got the same treatment. Firstly the file got transferred to Ottawa in October (He also had an issue with Job Letter and he provided update Letter through CSE after getting GCMS), then he got ADRs for his Employment (Tax Returns, Bank Statement showing Salary) on Feb 4th, 2018, which he submitted on the very next day and on Feb 9th, 2018, his file also got transferred to London but his IP2 status changed to NA when he submitted ADRs.

Hi @legalfalcon,

I'm a Sep 2016 AOR CEC with all passed except for Security and I've been in SS since January last year (17). I recently submitted a resignation letter from a board position at a company in my birth country that I wasn't involved with at all and it was labeled as "Adm/ " (security) on the notes and I was also flagged an A41 non-compliance (not started).

I also requested notes from CSIS, they missed the deadline, I sent them an email and someone called(!) the next day and explained they needed an extension to seek some advice before releasing my notes!

Went to see an immigration lawyer, he said I'm in a "SS blackhole" and I should send a draft of writ of mandamus to both IRCC and CSIS and give them a deadline. I think this is an extreme measure and probably not useful as 18 months is not long enough for a mandamus.

My PGWP expires in a few months and they probably won't approve a bridge permit when I'm already in SS.

Do you think I should just wait and see what happens or do something proactively?

Can someone throw some light on this please. Or point me in the right direction. My brother graduated from university mid 2017 and is currently looking for a job in his field.

Is it a paper based application after the nomination ? and is everyone given nomination when applying. Is there a quota and how many times does it open.

P.S - I have already been on the ontario Immigration website. I need more info regarding the processing times and general over view of the the process.
