the CIC made a mistake on my application, they put 202 in my malling address instead of 505. What should I do?

Will they mail anything to me?

In ECAS it gives you the option to change your address... off the top of my head, you can just use that to change your address.. but just so that they do not think you simply moved, and then assume you had not included that particular apartment in your application, I would also send a note to them through the contact me thing... Or just try the latter and see if they change it.

I think they do mail some stuff (invitation for test, oath ceremony stuff).

As suggested by @ghapama, best to quickly update it on ECAS (can take 2-5 days for it take effect). Alternatively, you can call the call center and they can update it as well, I *think*. Last time I called, they confirmed my current address on file, so pretty sure they should be able to update it as well. Best to mention that they made the typo.

Look on the bright side... these current timelines so far seem fast compared to the usual timelines when I applied in 2013. Back then you were fortunate to be done in a year. My 7 months timeline at the time was considered very fast.
I do agree with you. The frustrating part is its not FCFS for everyone. While we are waiting, January people are getting their AORs. On the other hand there are still many waiting for AORs from the month of October. The individual processing may differ but AORs should be on time for everyone. Anyways we wont be able to change anything, so just waiting and passing a stressful time checking emails every few minutes.

What I've come to realize is that, once an applicant does receive their delayed AOR, their file is put into processing very quickly. And in some cases, test invites were sent out within a month of getting AOR. IRCC estimates processing time to be 12 months from the date of delivery. They do not guarantee that AOR will be sent in a defined duration. Bottomline is, even if your AOR is delayed, you would likely still become a Citizen within 12 months of submitting your application, unless ofcourse, your file becomes non-routine for any reason.

That being said, I do understand that AOR comes as a sign of relief, because it means your application is complete and accepted. I sort of went through the same thing, when my AOR was delayed marginally. Have a better understanding of it now, however.

In process means your file is forwarded to your local office for processing. Please correct if it is wrong .

Thanks

Does it mean it was sent, or does it mean it was received from the local office? Because it says "we started processing", which to me means that it was received by the local office. If that is the case, the local office must've scanned the application , in order to generate a IP status... which means it is in some sort of queue now... let's hope that they do have a queue and it's not as random as for the AOR and IP stage....

Your physical application could still be in transit even a month after the status changes to in process. But the local office can retrieve all the information on your file through GCMS electronically, which entered once you get AOR.

I mean that our ecas status changes to in process only when our local office starts to process our file or when our file is forwarded electronically to our local office. Sorry just wanted to have a idea how ecas works.

Unknown (to me atleast). Could just mean your file is queued up to be looked at, at your local CPC.
