Hi,

Me and my husband are applying for express entry, I dont qualify on my own and so we have to apply together. We are from the UK and currently both in Canada on working holiday visas, however he moved to St Johns for work a few months ago, while I remained in Vancouver. How will this affect the application? Will we need to include a letter to explain the situation? We plan to live together in St Johns once my contract ends here in June, however that is also when our visas expire. I am also worried that he has left it too late to apply.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

No effect. We see applicants apply for PR when living in different places all the time.

Thank you for your response, I have a couple more questions I am hoping you might be able to answer. I have been given the opportunity to work in Vancouver a little longer and I am wondering if I should take it and move to St Johns at a later date or if I need to move now.

Can my application for an open work permit (using my spouse's PNP nomination) be refused if the my address is not in the province which the PNP is from?

Would continuing to work in a different province on implied status effect the outcome of the application?

If it is approved will it be restricted to working in the province my spouse's PNP is from?
