Anyone got Sponsor approval recently?

Same question here, specially for those who applied in first round end of july and got AOR end of November.

Some here had their SS on Ecas changed from application received to In progress since Jan 25 but since then, no news from IRCC.

By the end of february, it will be 7 months we applied and still no SA.

Knowing that the longest part is the background check, our applications are going to take for sure more than one year.

Even I know some applications from 2014-2016 are still on process, it is so frustrating because some had applied few days before (like July 10) and had their PR in process since beginning of December.

Is the LVO responsible for SA? I thought it was Mississauga center who approved the application and then send it to LVO for PR application and at the same time (if you are quebec reisdent) asks you to sart process for CSQ?

I don't recall seeing any official statement on the timeline. It must be someone making an estimated guess. IRCC would never officially say that considering people are still waiting for 2014 applications to process.

I just want to ask a question about the application status and wonder if some of you have received the similar email or seen similar status in your parental application recently.

I also won the lottery and submitted my parental sponsorship application on July 27, 2017. In November, I received a called from an immigration officer requesting the missing family background forms for my parents. I emailed the officer the requested form, and on Jan 2, 2018, an email was received from CIC indicating “Your application has been accepted under the intake cap for 2017. (but nothing else)”

Yesterday was my first time using the online tool to check the application status online. And not sure when but the status has been changed to Sponsorship Application Status: Decision Made; Permanent Residence Application Status: In Process. According to the explanation on sponsorship application status, "Decision Made" means that CIC has made a decision on my sponsorship application and will inform me the decision in writing. But so far, after 40 days of receiving the CIC email of acceptance, I have not yet received anything about their decision. I felt confused now as to what kind of decision has been made on my case, and worry if that indicates I am unqualified to apply for my parents' immigration.

When I clicked the "Decision Made" status, it says "1.We have received your application to sponsor XXX on Aug 1, 2017. Dependents listed on the application are XXX. 2. We started processing your application on Jan 16, 2018."

When I clicked the "In Process" status, it only says "1. We have received XXX's application for permanent residence on Aug 1, 2017".

I am wondering if such information sounds reasonable to you and if you have received any similar message before. Is there anything I need to worry about? Is there supposed to be a "Decision" email or paper mail sent to me and if so, how long did you receive this Decision message after receiving the initial acceptance email. Thank so much for answering my questions in advance.

It shows that you've met all requirements as a sponsor so that's definitely a positive sign. The online status indicates sponsorship approval has been granted. Next step would be for the application to be transferred to the LVO then medical, police report and so on; all that is being shown under the PR status of 'in process'.

Good news. Means that the sponshorship application is approved and the permanent residence is in process.

This is also good news as said before for those who applied end of july, got AOR end of november (in your case it was additional documents) and SA started to be processed in January. Hope it means that our SA will be processed within one month like yours.

Such a coincidence that you started checking your Ecas yesterday, my bet it is that it really changed recently from (SA : In process, PR:Application received) to you current status (SA: Decision made, PR: In process).

@YULIA-2016 I was looking in the excel spreadsheet and i noticed i am with PR in progress. I am still at the stage of app received for the PR.

Hi, I received sponsorship approval email today.

ECAS Sponsorship Application Status changed to Decision Made on 02/12/2018.
Email received for Approval on 02/14/2018.
Application for PR forwarded to Bogota-Colombia.
Please update excel sheet.

Just to give you an update on my post from yesterday. I was worrying about my "Decision Made" Sponsorship Application status and what kind of decision has been made. However, just as you mentioned, it turns out to be an SA approval letter. I finally received the approval email from CIC this afternoon. I got my ROA on Jan 2, 2018, and received the SA approval email on Feb 14, 2018. The email also says my parents' application has been transferred to the Ottawa office.
