Medical Request

Hi. I would be so glad if someone can help me on this. I just received a medical request from the cic few hours ago and i was wondering why my daughter was not included in the request. She is included in my application and accompanying with me in canada. I have read in the cic that the dependent child whether accompanying or not should undergo a medci exam. Got a bit worried on this. Does anybody here have the same dilemma as mine? Your answer is highly appreciated. Thanks.

You can submit a case specific enquiry and check on this.
Another option is to do kid's medical also (just as they do upfront) - Just my opinion. But I'd prefer contacting IRCC first.

Thank you for the reply. I already received the medical request of my daughter already. We will have our medical exams this weekend. May i know if you have an idea on the next step after we have taken our medical exam?

Thank you for the reply. I already received the medical request of my daughter already. We will have our medical exams this weekend. May i know if you have an idea on the next step after we have taken our medical exam?

If your doctor does eMedical submission (Most doctors do this way):
You go for the medicals. Do the checkups. COllect the acknowledgement / /Medical report from doctor .
Go for the Blood tests / Xrays (kids wont need this upto some age) with the form provided from doctor.
Thats it. The Tests results will be sent to doctors, they collate and submit the report to CIC/IRCC.
Usually this is done within 7 days or so.
You will see the status as Medical results recieved in your eCAS and MyCIC login.

For Non eMedical doctors.
Process is the same, except for there;d be delayed processing and paperworks. (But I am sure, most of the CIC medical checkup doctors now do the eMedical way.)

Hi I have concerns also I received a medical "Medical Report - Section A Client identification and summary (IMM 1017E) - February 16, 2018 11:40:07 a.m. EST" but I don't see any request letter or an instructions from them please reply . And thanks. From Philippines

Hi Maria79,
Follow the letter you received. If they ask for a panel physician visit for a specific person, simply make an appointment with the panel physician. They send the application directly to CIC. My dependent child was asked to undergo the medical examination. We did it. It was not difficult and the results and form are sent the same day to CIC. Our panel physician was great and simply advised us to comply with all requests, which we have been doing and things going smoothly. Hope that helps.

You try to search in Google on what ACCREDITED medical clinics near you for your visa application. If you found one, there are list of requirements available in the website on what to bring during your medical examination. I am from Cebu. I had my medical exam in Nationwide Health Systems, Inc. This clinic has other branches in Manila, Davao and Baguio.

You just need to enter your country (where you are now) and search for the physicians located near to your place.
It is your choice whom to go to. But once you have made a choice, you can then always check on the google for their reviews. And contact them for appointment and the processes.

I am december 2016 applicant
Embessy requested for re medical on 16 feb 2018.
On gc key 1 march it changed to background check in progress. How long does it take got PPR ??

A month ago my wife sent an email to MP and we got reply on 2 march 2018

Just want to update you that I did speak to IRCC about you and your husband's case. It does appear that things are moving along. There was a due date on file to bring your case forward, but it had not been done so by February 14. I would suggest waiting two weeks to see if there is any progress in your case. Hopefully our calls and emails have helped to "un-stick" the file.



Do let me know by March 14th, if you have heard anything positive or if you have not received news on the case by then. We will call our colleagues again at that point to check in on the file. Let me know if you have further questions or concerns.”
Can somebody please tell us how long does it take for background check ???

Hi capecanadian, may I know the status of your application? How is it going? I am still waiting for the cic to send us a message to our account that medical result was received and then passed. Me and my daughter have taken our medical exams last feb 17, 2018 and up to this day march 21, no feedback and update yet from cic. My husband on the other hand, who is my authorized representative had received an email last first week of march that our documents were already forwarded to Manila visa office for further processing. He also received an email yesterday from Manila immigration offering me jobs to different employers since i am already processing for my permanent residency application. I hope we can get good news now or in the weeks to come. Waiting game has started on us again.
