Its a question to all experience members.my mom and sister applied together visitor visa to come visit me on 17 december.my mom recieve visa in two weeks but sister still in process.is it normal?please advise me.any help will be appreciated

Yes its normal as they are taking their time to determine her eligibility....

Does she have any other financial investments? Bank term deposits, shares/dividends, mutual funds, rental income?

Do share the list of documents which you submitted as the host.



You are right about this.

You may want to re-check the application form to see if you had selected 'Super Visa' or maybe you had mentioned a stay of 6 months or more? Or maybe there was some indication that she could extend her stay beyond 6 months? I'm just guessing the possibilities as to why she was refused on these grounds

She does not have any other savings. Just one saving account of about 25000 cad on which she receives regular monthly income and these are specifically for widows.
List of docs i added as a host are:
Passport mine and husbands
Pr cards for both
Provincial health card
My sons passport
My birth certificate
Invitation letter
(Yes i missed noa, which i plan to include this time , for current year after filing taxes)
And yes im trying to check the possibilites too.
I did not select 'supervisa' or 'visit for more than 6 months'..
But im trying to figure the possibility if they thought of my intension for her visa extension.(which i dont have,neither i mentioned anywhere in application)
PS: one mistake was my mom transferred some money from saving to her current account for use during her stay here in Canada and for ticket purchase, about a month before i filed the application. And the bank personnels gave her cash instead of cheque.( i do have the slips for withdrawing money which i attached with the application. Its just a thought)

I applied fro TRV 13/02/2018.with 9 years old daughter (co applicant) for 45 days family Visit
Rest of my dependent child and spouse will remain in pakistan
Canada. Family Parents and 3 brothers one is married his wife and a kid.( all these holding citizenship )
and settled in Canada since 2008
Own a house with good jobs , father is retired
supporting documents I submitted from my family includes.
Invitation letter mentioning my father health( with attached hospitalized discharged slip)
My family will pay fro my trip including everything food shelter transportation and air fare .
Also spending Ramadan and eid with them.
Bank statements 1100,000 $cad . with pay stubs .employment certificate, citizenship card with Canadian passports copy. Canada home owner documents.
Documents I submit . My job( Private) as sales manager . leave certificate . NOC from employer
Daughter school leave certificate . consent letter from non accompanying parent
My funds statement for 4 months 900,000PKR.
Question is I have no previous Travel history it will hurt my application or for family visit VO do not consider it.

How did you apply trv? Online or Paper based?
Make an GC account and link your application with it.

If your family will pay for your trip its a negitive point as cic weighs applicant ties n income wether applicant is financially stable to afford the trip on his own ..here your family ties in canada seems stronger then in home country

My file was very strong.
