Hi There,
I applied for permanent residency in February 2017 and my post graduate work permit (which was issued to the passport expiry 17 month but was supposed to be 3 years ) got expired and i also unfortunately lost my grace period and could not get it restored .While having my Inland application for permanent residency in process i had to leave Canada and return to my home country. I'm wondering if this can be dangerous for my application that is still in process and its been 1 year now? Please help and tell me if i have any other options. Right now i have no visa or permit but only my inland permanent residence application in process.
Note: I was nominated by Saskatchewan.

What category did you applied under in SINP?

student sub category
Okay so here is the situation. Since you applied under SINP student sub category, your nomination has a employment restriction. You are supposed to continue working under the same employer who supported your SINP. Now that you are no longer working with that employer, they could have notified SINP about you leaving therefore cancelling their support for your nomination which leaves you automatically cancelling your SINP.

SINP will then notify CIC about your nomination being cancelled and CIC will then cancel your PR application or refuse your application. Have you received any email from CIC?

My job was only one year contract and they never extended the contract but i had received my nomination before the contract expired. I received an email from CIC requesting some additional documents and right of permanent residency fees and that i submitted when i was in Canada.

In order for you to qualify under the PR under SINP student category, you will have to keep working until you get your PR. If SINP finds out, they can notify CIC to cancel your application.

brother, please explain you situation cleary

you got 17 months of PGWP because your passport expiry date?
If YES, why don't you extend your passport.
which country you are from?
after getting passport you can get closed WP for 2-years at US-Canada border with SINP nomination & AOR by your employer paying complience fee of $230
don't leave country for longer time. If your employer informs to SINP they will draw you nomination.

stay positive......All the best

Where does it says if i have to in form SINP about leaving my job and leaving the country? and how is it considered misinterpretation?
Also if SINP finds out you didn't notify them that you left your job and the country, it's considered misrepresentation and it's a 5 years ban from entering Canada
