I am looking for possibilities .. its a fickle world..
No Polygamy or polyandry is illegal in Canada. So you can only have 1 wife / husband / common law included regardless of the customs in your country. And as for married wife you can only include the one that you have married first as your legal wife as the second marriage is seen as invalid. In order to validate it you would have to:
1. being legally divorced with the first wife and then marry the second one.
2. being separated from the first wife and then include the second one as a common law after you have lived with her at least 1 year (that is after the separation from the first wife).

yes, you need to include salary details. In case your employer refuses to include information on it (like one of mine did), attach other proof like payslips and appointment letter when submitting documents post ITA. You can also prepare a LoE to explain this.

Letter can be as old as you want it to be considering it's your ex-employer and information won't change ever.
This is interesting.

So am I right in understanding that the reference letter can be back dated attached with relevant pay slips, and other supporting documents. This letter is what describes the job description, correct?

Hello experts! Quick question: I studied in Canada under an award that required me to go back home, so I said yes in the following:

Did **** study in Canada based on an award that required them to go back to their home country to apply their knowledge and skills? This includes some awards from Global Affairs Canada: Yes

Does anyone know if I would have to provide any documents as part of this to prove I no longer have to go back? (I am in the process of negotiating a pay-back plan), or is the question asked just to see if points should be awarded to me as Canadian education or not?

I'm the secondary applicant and I'm filling in my post-ITA questionnaire at this time.

Thanks!

yup, but this only applies to a previous job. If it's your current job, then letter must be recent (lesser than six months).

Actually I have this question too. I have my job duties listed, length of service, and work hours. I forgot to attach salary (and also this is confidential), I might ask since my HR is nice enough to ask me to come back if I needed something else, but if I don't have to I don't want to trouble them too much.

Will it be ok to include my salary in the signed contract? Also, we have a more rigorous job duties in our position description, will attaching this as a supplementary form help me lock down my NOC? I am really scared now!
it'd be better to get all this from your employer in a separate letter. However, if it's absolutely not possible, then attach what you have with an LoE. At the end of it, the case officer will take a call and issue an ADR if he thinks something is amiss.

Alternatively, you can get all of this from a colleague at work on stamp paper and get it notarised.

With salary I can't get a colleague's affidavit, I think as salaries are confidential. I have the job duties sorted out, but I have no salary on that paper.

Here are what I have :

1. Certificate of Service that contains length, job duties, and hours per week.
2. Signed contract at the start that states my salary and reference to Position description and Union Agreement
3. Position description with more rigorous lists of duties (but no reference to my name as this is a generic form).

My plan :

1. Include the CoS + Signed Contract + Position Description to really seal the deal. Risk : They may not ask for clarification and refuse outright, and this is silly when my HR says for me to come back if I needed anything else.

2. Come back to HR. Risk : Nothing, really. In fact we can get a "no we can't include salary" and write a better CoE than just "I have not asked for the salary to be included".
just write all that you want to and give to the HR then. It'll either be a yes or no from them. I just gave the content to all my companies and they were happy to include the information, except my last company, which refused to include salary. I am going to include appointment letter, salary hike letter, pay stubs. So, no sweat.

Senior members, I am creating a profile on express entry, my score is 441, so very hopeful in the upcoming draw. I am very confused on choosing correct NOC. Please, can you check and provide your feedback if my job duties are a suitable match for 2174 or 2173. I have read and compared multiple times and to me, they look to be a mix of both these NOC codes.

Hi,

I was calculating my score using this tool http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

My question is can we assume that we will get same score as per the above tool when we create the EE profile (provided information given in both cases is same)?

Regards,
S
The EE system gave me a higher score than what I had calculated based on the above website. Not sure if there are others who had similar luck.

Dear All, URGENT URGENT

I have a serious issue, I got an ITA and have all documents ready but in my meds the first syphilis test (Sensitive i think) was positive. They are doing the more specific test now. I didn't know that I had it but if the second test comes positive then I surely have it. I read online and this is completely curable with a set dose of penicillin for a couple of weeks. I wanted to know whether my chances of getting ahead with my case are totally jeopardized or if I get the proper treatment and don't let my doctor send my meds ahead to cic till I get this treatment and ask the doctor to to attach proof of my treatment along with my meds. I have to upload my application by the 14th. VERY WORRIED PLEASE GIVE ME SOME EDUCATED ANSWER, THANK YOU
