No, it seems in cases where an applicant lives in a remote location, far away from the nearest CPC and nearest temporary office, they schedule the test/oath on the same day. I have only seen Calgary and Edmonton do so, so far.

I went for Test today and passed.

But officer told me that my file is under security clearance and once they get clearance they will update status.
Not sure how much time will it take for security clearance... any idea?

Nope, no one can tell you that. Everyone's case is different. Just have to wait it out.

No I didn't request for it and I was actually surprised myself when I saw the update on my file. But as razerblade explanation it was base on where the applicant lives.

Likely fingerprint request, less likely request for more information. By regular mail.

Probably means you go a FP request. Regular mail.
