the best solution. i hope more and more people find this wisdomI got an FP request. I have no charges or police history of any kind. My name is unusual enough that I would be very surprised if there was someone with the same name, and even more surprised if someone with the same name had a criminal record. I grew up in the US, have lived in Canada since 2003. I have no explanation for why I would be asked for FPs, other than a very extensive work-related travel history that spans Europe, Asia, North and South America. But who knows. I've stopped trying to figure out why some of these things are triggered, and am trying to be patient.

I couldn't find a RCMP office nearby so I just used CII Fingerprinting Services Inc. in Toronto. Cost me 50 bucks plus tax.Hello guys, I received my FP request last week. In the letter it said we can do it either at RCMP directly, or in a local police, or at an accredited agency. I find all people here in this forum are using agency to do it. Does anyone know if it is quicker to do directly at RCMP or local police? And the how much does it cost when doing directly at RCMP or local police?
My local police station only does FPs for arrests, as part of the booking process. They referred me to an accredited agency, which I thought would be preferable to committing a crime so I could get it done at the local police station.Hello guys, I received my FP request last week. They say they send the fingerprints to RCMP within 3 days. They also give you a hard copy of the fingerprints, in case something gets lost along the way and you need proof.
