Urgent! Got Message from myCIC to upload missing US-FBI PCC, within 7 days, that I don't have......

Hi all,

Well the title says it all. I just got a message in myCIC account, stating that I need to upload the missing US-FBI report within 7 days, Deadline: February 12, 2018 or else my application will be considered without it and may be refused. While submitting the application on the last day, January 16, 2018, I provided proof of applying for US-FBI Police Clearance Certificate along with email correspondences with the FBI and also mentioned it in the LoE. In the LoE I also mentioned that as soon as I get the PCC I'll upload it through the CSE, however, I think, I should have mentioned that it takes 3-4 weeks for the mail to arrive. According to the email correspondences with FBI, the report was supposed to be mailed on January 19, 2018, however, it takes 3-4 weeks for the report to arrive that means I should expect to wait till February 16, 2018 to get my hands on the report.

Right now I don't have the report and there is no tracking either to verify the whereabouts of the report and I don't know what else to do when I've only got 6 more days to sort this matter out. What should I do now? I would highly appreciate any help in this matter. Thank you

Submit another LOE in place of PCC. They'll give you another deadline. Obviously wait till the end of this deadline in case PCC comes in time

Thank you very much @DelPiero07 for the input. Just to be clear, do I need to upload an LoE in place of the required updated PCC file and ask for an extension or write to cic through email?

Edit: In case I have to ask for extension; how much extension, in terms of days or weeks, should I ask for?

Submit another LOE in place of PCC. They'll give you another deadline. Obviously wait till the end of this deadline in case PCC comes in time

Wow, thats a news to me, but a great one at that. Thank you so much for showing me another option, going to check it out right now.

Edit: Looks like I have to mail the fingerprint card (FD-258) and upon receipt it should take another 48 hours to get the report. For me the courier will still take 3 days at the minimum (usually 3-5 days) to get there. And then there is this weekend. Don't know if I have enough time till the coming Monday to get it all done. I can, however, start this process in tandem, in case the mail takes longer to reach me I can have the electronic one earlier.

Update: I am happy to report that I got my FBI IdHSC report in the mail yesterday, February 8th, 2018. Its such a relief, I don't have to request an extension or reapply for the report electronically through the eDO, anymore. In this case, this international mail delivery took exactly 3 weeks (21 days) to reach me from the day it was mailed.

Dang it! Just saw your post going through old emails, sorry about that. Well it's been a while so I don't know if it'll be helpful to you or not but I'm putting it out there regardless. I uploaded it directly through myCIC account where I had already submitted my application. They had provided me with another separate file place holder within the documents upload page. I used it to upload the document, it's just like as you would do for all other documents to be uploaded within your application.
