I know this question had been answered many times, but would anyone answer it for me again?
I sent everything requested by PPR to my lawyer in Toronto yesterday. And he will forward them to Ottawa for the final process. And currently, what is the time frame that I am looking at for Ottawa send the COPR back to my lawyer?

Thank you for your help.

In our case, Ottawa received our docs on January 17th and mailed back my COPR on February 1st. (Mailed from Ottawa to Toronto). Seems like there are 2 weeks (maybe little more) of waiting time. You should monitor your gckey account, to see when it will change to "application is approved" - that means they printed your COPR and then start to monitor your return envelope :)

I have a question....does anyone make an appointment for landing having an outland application at the office in Toronto? Because I read so many negative reviews about flag poling (which I wanted to do intially) at Rainbow Bridge....and now I am hesitating.

Really appreciate your help. Actually I have my lawyer to help monitor all those. I just want to know a general time frame, so I can start to prepare to plan the moving. With a house full stuff and two little children around, it may take longer than this process to pack all things up and move to Canada.

If you do flagpole, just make sure you only go Tuesday through Thursday. If you’re not in a rush to land, making an appt will probably be a few weeks wait, but won’t involve anybody being mad at you!

Thank you! I landed at the Peace Bridge (Buffalo, NY) and had a really pleasant experience! The officer was so impressed with my spreadsheets I had prepared for importing my goods that he said I should apply to work for CBSA... hahaha
Can I ask what type of goods you had to List? Looking at the form they give as example is so confusing, I want to set up a spreadsheet and get a head start on it as we are goung to have to ship over from England Many Thanks

I am sending my husband application to Mississauga today. This has been a long process of gathering information.

He is American and we have a child together.

I know the checklist goes first and then I have everything else in the order it is in the checklist. I also have cover pages for each sections with tabs and short explanations as to what each tab is and how many pages there are.

I hope I didn't go overboard... I have a horrible need for organization.

Just make sure no staples and/or folders that they have to mess around with/unclip etc.

Make sure the barcode pages are where they are meant to be.

Make sure you pay the correct fees.

Check all signatures are done. Even better have someone else go through and check.

Do a final "are the forms up to date/the most recent version" right before you send it. The day i posted my app the forms were updated and i saw it right before i was leaving for purolator to post it (yes i would probably have been ok if i hadnt updated them but i didnt want to chance it!)

Are paperclips okay? I have an elastic around the whole thing and then each section has a paperclip so keep everything together.

Paperclips will be fine.

I couldn't help but giggle at your signature saying your application has been signed for tomorrow. I appreciate your optimism. :p
Good luck with your app!

My wife just got a request for state background checks from Delaware and Maryland. Also asked for “court judgement” for her dismissed dui.

Looks like someone finally picked up our file
