Hello,

I am on H1B (US Work VISA) and based on the backlog of GC applications for my Country of birth (India), I feel the wait for GC (EB 2) is not worth it. I really want to get settled and feel I should try for Canada PR.

I work in a US based consultancy company which has multiple offices in Canada (Calgary, Edmonton, Mississauga, Ottawa, Vancouver, Toronto etc.). I may not necessary stick with my employer but at least they have some presence there.

This question is not about the PR process but rather to understand about the life in Canada for people who got PR recently and have been there.

Category A - Folks who got PR with job offer

Category B - Folks who got PR and entered Canada hoping to get a job offer

Can you let me know about you experiences? What are the some of things you now know after entering Canada?
