we got our ppr today but our medical expires in first week of april and i cannot travel right now due to my studies. is there a way to get visa extension till june?

Usually those are given under exceptional circumstances (pregnant applicant not being able to travel for example). You are free to ask your VO for one but there is no guarantee they'll give you one.

Prepare to do a soft-landing to complete the PR process and settle afterwards for good whenever you want.
