New user here,

Applied on 26th Jan 2018, I got a mail stating 'my score is 476 and I am not issued with an ITA as of now'.

What are my chances ?and when do you guys expect the next draw?

Its weird, I am unable to access my application (read-only) as of today morning, it goes to a time-out error

yup, he is right. My bad I explained it in a shitty manner.
No worries guys. I was too brief in my reasoning too. Here's why I am waiting.
At company 1, I held positions but they just gave me a letter with one position for the entire duration (still advantageous to me). The same could happen with company 2 (from whom I am awaiting my letter). My concern is if I submitted my profile with 4 positions held during the timeframe but the letters say those are 2, I am not sure if I could change the EE Profile to reflect what the letters say. If this is not a concern in your opinion, do let me know.

I went back to your post and saw that a few minutes after you posted that on October 18th, there was a draw published and score was 436. You said there will be no draw that day according to a "source" you have within CIC and you implied we will not see less than 440 until 2018, and your "source" was wrong on both counts

Moreover, after the draw (that you had predicted wouldn't happen as per your CIC source) you made another post citing your secret "source" within CIC:

https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/ray-of-hope-74th-draw.520977/page-77#post-6441039

"I read the text from my source incorrectly. After reading it again it said that there would be a draw today but later in the morning. It also went on to say CRS will steadily come down and will never be <450 ever again and that it will come down to the low 400s sometime in the first quarter of next year. :)"

1.5 months after your post there was a draw on Dec 6th with with score 452 which your "source" said will never happen again.
Wow!! You really dug that up. You must be a detective with the RCMP. My source was wrong about the no draw thing. Just sit and watch the trend and get back to me in the spring time.

I said the above to give hope to people with lower CRS scores who were waiting to receive an ITA. The truth of the matter is that CRS scores will hover around the mid 400s until there are more successive back to back draws. Which I think won't start happening until the spring time.

Remember that even a broken clock tells the correct time twice in one day.

"<" ---- This is used when you have to say "Less Than"
">" ---- This is used when you have to say "Greater Than"

Folks here seem to be confused with the comparison operators.

Hey guys, as it is looking increasingly unlikely that there will be a draw today and next Wednesday being the more probable draw date, I confess I turn 30 on Friday and lose 5 crucial CRS points! :(

I have a scenario and question to ask, please please if you could help me, that'd be awesome:

I am currently sitting at 441 until Friday and I know I will need to boost my score to have any chance of getting an ITA next month after Friday's score deduction. I'm currently working in Canada and have been in my chosen NOC occupation with my employer for over a year who has provided me with an acceptable employment letter for my PR application.

I can boost my score by including my previous work experience in the UK (2 years of provable experience matching my NOC - 1224) combined with my decent language score (CELPIP - R12, S12, L12, W9). I therefore reached out to my previous employer for a similar employment letter, however all the HR dept. sent was a basic letter confirming my name, dates employed, full time, and job title. There was no inclusion of the duties performed which I requested and stated was crucial. Now I'm at a loss with how I can claim this experience without this?

I had one idea which I'm hoping you can comment on:

a) Use the letter they sent and upload along with the job description for the role (which I think I may still have somewhere), along with an explanation letter to the officer detailing the connection between the two
b) If I am unable to obtain the job description for whatever reason, I could reach out to an ex-client of mine who could verify the duties I performed when I was employed there and ask him to write an official reference and upload this, along with the explanation letter.

What do you think guys? Will this suffice for proof of my work experience in the eyes of the officer? I really really need these extra points and the only reason I didn't claim them beforehand was because I thought (stupidly and arrogantly) I wouldn't need them with a score of 441 and I envisaged getting the perfect letter from my previous employer meeting CIC's expectations would prove difficult - which is being proved correct. My work experience of over 2 years in the UK does match the NOC on the application and I would really like to benefit from claiming the points for this.

Thanks in advance for any input guys, no matter how small! It's appreciated and I know we are all in this together - which is comforting! :)

To be honest I wish that everyone here gets a chance. Unfortunately the trends aren't in our favor at the moment but patience and due diligence will see all of us through.

why there is no back to back draws now like before ? :(
Please keep working on increasing your scores but don't lose hope.
I think that CIC donot want the initial draws to have very low cut offs as this will mean score going below 400 very soon.
So, if we compare last year, there were more invitations but the score in third draw was 453( pretty high cut off). This is not the case this year as the cut off is already 442.
There is still hope that scores may come down.

Try formulating the letter yourself to match CIC requirements. Send it them and ask them to print it on the company's letter head and sign it. See if that will work first.

This is exactly what I did, I basically pre-wrote the letter in the CIC format I know they look for and sent it to them asking to stick to this as closely as possible. However, they did not send it back in that format. I remember from working there that they do not issue references or employment letters in any other format than their own standard, which is basic and uninformative to say the least. Annoying!

My current employer in Canada provided me with a CIC format letter straight away, however it's in their interests to keep me in the country permanently I guess! :D

Thanks! So can I start a new EE profile, claim the points and then submit what I have when/if I get my ITA as per the ideas I mentioned above? If it's not enough will they outright reject my application or ask me to provide further evidence, such as the tax form or pay stubs you mention?

they ask for pay-stubs or tax form(any kind of proof) to submit in 30 days timeline if you cannot collect they will check for misrepresentation or reject application
