Repeating Medical Examination before Expiration

Hello guys,

I have a question regarding the medical examination expiration date.
Now, let's assume that I received my PR before my medical examination expires and I have to be in Canada before its expiration date, but I still have some things to finish back in my country. Can I repeat the medical examination to update its date (I already got the PR)?

No you have to land before your medical expires but you can do a soft landing and return to your home country that day if you want.

It is done all the time. Just look around the forum. Tons of people coming from places like India doing soft landings. Some flying in for a day or two and returning because of work commitments.
