Even I have applied for EoR, how do you check the status? I did not get any kind of intimation regarding the same
I applied only yesterday. However, they did tell me that there will be no option of checking the status but I will receive a call and maybe sms once EOR is completed. I have been asked to follow up after 3 weeks if no response received.

Hi Guys, I requested EOR on 28th January for the 6th Jan test result. LRSW 8.5 8.5 7.5 6.5. I applied personally at IDP-Riyadh office and they gave me the receipt of the amount received. Is it possible to check the status of application? They told that during EOR, results will be disappeared, while I just checked and still I can preview my result.

Hello everyone! I am glad to find this topic so I can, at least, register my disappointment and share my case.
I took IELTS Academic (first plan was to go with student visa) and got the following scores:
L-9 / R-8 / W-7 / S-7
Test on Sep-30-17
Since it was my first try, totally out of pure english in me, I thought it was OK. I was going to try General Training anyway!
So I went on to General Training. I was better prepared this time, specially concerning time management for the writing part.
Scores:
L8.5 / R9 / W6.5 / S7.5
Test on Oct-28-17
I have studied english for more than 20 years. I have lived in the US for one year (exchange student) and even have taught english in language schools during my college years. I dont need to say that I was VERY unhappy about the grades, because I am very confident in my english!

Sure, the Speaking score went up a little, but I didn't think it went up enough.
What I was the most upset about was the writing segment. I wrote the essays with plenty of time, clear and corrected. Subjects were easier than those of Academic (that involves graphs and figures).

I felt I had to apply for Enquiry on Results, so I did, shortly after getting the results. EOR addressed (and already paid for) Nov-23-17.
Got the reply Jan-22-18. A simple print with lawful statements and the core subject:
"The band score awarded for this module has remained unchanged".
Just that, no further explanation or anything. There were two sheets of paper. Only the second one with a signature, from British Council. But it was a JPG, an image, signature. I would expect at least that they would actually send something via mail, signed and stamped. I was wrong.

So I am very disappointed. The 6.5 score thrashes my whole grade. All other scores are top band, except the 6.5, which lies in third band!
Altogether with the response I got from BC, I feel that the test is flawed, and seems to me more of a lottery when it concerns the subjetive modules (speaking and writing).

Welcome to the this topic. I assure you, that the IELTS does not test your English language skills. If it does, then they wouldn't provide 1 hour for the writing test. Apparently, they test your writing speed or something not related to writing skills. Even native English speakers didn't score high in IELTS, because it has more to do with your analysis skills, writing speed, logic than pure English skills. It is like an IQ test in English language.

I came across an English teacher on youtube who has been teaching English for more than 10 years and he decided to take IELTS to test himself and he was shocked to find out that he only scored 6.5 in writing.

Hopefully the remark will be a success, in case not then no more BC. IDP will be the better choice for IELTS since their remark takes far less time.
Bro in any case I won’t go for BC now. They have tested my patience and are very careless when we call them.

Now this is extremely disappointing.
If you don't want to pursue with your ielts academic score for student visa then definitely don't think of giving ielts via BC. IDP is surely far better and efficient medium to appear for ielts.

Secondly, if you don't mind telling me which country did you apply for EOR? As I can see that you applied for EoR on 23 Nov 2017 and received an outcome on 22 Jan 2018. Whereas, I have submitted on 25 Nov in UAE and still awaiting result.

Hello Dear

You are correct in your observation. To further add, this is a money making tool for the examination agencies and not merit base at all.

Pls see my previous posts on this. It works out that :
If you score 7 or above in "both" L & R sections. Your score in W or S is pushed to less than seven. Simple way to make you sit for another exam and make you pay more money.
By doing so you are pushed to a low scoring point in both Canada and Australia Immigration point based system. So, you will have to give exam again.

For Canada immigration system the requirement of LRWS is 8,7,7,7 for CLB 9.
For Australia immigration system the requirement of LRWS is 7,7,7,7 for "proficient" level and thus 10 points are awarded.

The only solution is to keep giving exam and hope lady luck shines on you.

Is it necessary after rechecking they will send an email first to inform or directly send a TRF?

Hahaha..
Don't know if we should laugh or cry on our helplessness..:D:eek:
I called again today the BC, the customer care representative told me since the BC already contacted me and promised that the result will be available this week then it will be available this week. He added, i should have no doubt. The tension is killing me, i hope the result is revised after all this rollercoaster of a ride.
