Hi everyone,

I've been trying to get through to the CIC call center to get an answer to this with zero luck and we need to get this form submitted asap.

Our situation is my wife has a business in China, and is here in Canada on a visitor visa, so she is both working and she is traveling. How can we properly enter this under personal information, given that the start date for each activity is different, but also overlapping? Is it okay to have two separate entries on the form for the same date range? IE:

2001-2018 Business Owner, China
2017-2018 Traveling, Canada

I was considering doing this and uploading a separate letter as well explaining the overlap, but I also only see one place to upload a file on the website. Does anyone know if you can upload supporting documents for this form?

Additionally for the address history, my wife doesn't have much of this information as she's lived at various addresses over the years which she can't remember. What's the best way to handle this?

Also some other questions spouse sponsorship related questons:

My wife and I are planning to have a baby this year, but once she's pregnant she wont be able to get the xrays needed for the medical check, but we haven't received a request for the check yet. How should we handle this?

Thank you for anyone who can assist. :)

You would possibly be requested to redo your medical, if you did it upfront and sent it with your package, since the rule has been changed since Dec. 2016.
Nope, mine went through. I got DM on Jan 10th and will have an interview on the 1st.

I called CIC and they said we can do the medical exam before they ask. It's valid for 1 year. Otherwise once she's pregnant we'd have to wait until after the baby is born to complete her application.

Some Panel Physicians are willing to do the medical upfront if you press them on it. At first we were told to wait for CIC's request since it comes with a unique IME number. We chose to insist because her son was going to be away at his father's all summer and we didn't want to be in a situation where the request came in and there was a deadline to have the medical done but no access to the child. The Panel Physician was able to do the exam and hold on to the results until we had the IME number from CIC before sending the results in. Turns out that the request didn't come until Sept 1 anyway but we preferred not to take the chance.

You can do a medical exam at any time you like, if there was a panel Physician that was able to do it. But like what you said the panel physician cannot submit it to CIC without the IME number. Some people did it then sent the results to the CIC with their application package, that is what I said that the CIC may ask them redo it again.
