Pre-Assessed..
Hi All.

This might be a little simple, however, I just want to clarify.

Q: With one degree verified and ECA done, I have created an EE profile. There is a possibility that WES might recognise another credential of mine positively. My question is, can I enter (without the ECA number for this credential - while the assessment is underway by WES) the degree / credential in EE profile.I am not sure if it can be done. This might increase my score and I would stand a chance possibly in the upcoming draws if the CRS cut-off goes down.

If someone can throw some light, grateful as always.

@BillHyatt @legalfalcon - can you guys advise?

Thanks.
Here is what does happen in EE profile:
1. if you enter your second diploma as non assessed (as that is what it is right now), system will not calculate any points for it.
2. Attention however if you have chosen 2 or more diplomas for your first assessed diploma, it can award you additional points (unless they did correct this glitch within last year).
3. Now technically, all you need to create EE profile is assessed at least high school diploma (which you have, as your first diploma is ready) and language test (which you have as well). So you can enter system without any problem.
4. Should you however receive ITA and want to use it, your EE for your diplomas (all diplomas that are giving you any CRS points), must be valid at the day of ITA and at the day of AOR. (meaning your file must exist with assessment statement in the database of WES, but you do not need to have yet your certificate in your hands).
So your strategy would only work if by lot of luck WES just so happens finish their job latest at the day of ITA. But since it is not difficult to get information about results in advance per email (before you will get your hard copy) and it takes just few hours for your profile to be updated properly; there is no much advantage in such tactics.
Of course unless you assume steep CRS increase in draws or significant decrease of your points.

Hi @DelPiero07 and other experienced members

I have a valid Tourist Visa and currently just received my AOR. I'm hoping to receive CoPR by May.

I want to attend an event in Montreal in June but as the spouse I can't make the landing on my own and my question is can I enter Canada with my tourist visa instead of the CoPR in June and then i can go with my Wife in September to do the landing?

My brother who is CEC Inland, did not get his Tourist Visa cancelled when he received his CoPR. I have seen opposing comments on this matter.

Please help!
Indeed, there are different views regarding this in this forum. I do not want to give you an answer that might get you in trouble so I rather recommend you to send a private message to either scylla or jes_ON.

Does the recent OINP update means they are not going to issue any more NOI now ?
Ontario issued NOIs twice in January for EE Human Capital. The update they gave has nothing to do with EE human capital stream nor with anything related to EE (Express entry).
When is the next round of EE Human capital NOIs ? Nobody can tell. But, the pattern looks like they might send NOIs right near the dates of next EE draw.

Canadian education & work experience plus clb 9, some of them even have foreign work experience. With all these combination, the can reach 460+
I was one of the candidates sitting at 475. Owing to Canadian experience got 40 points extra. There would be many like me plus people having relatives in Canada also get extra points. I had to decline my invitation, withdraw my profile and create a new profile on 24th Jan though and now I am sitting at 445. Had I done it before the Jan 24 draw would have got my 2nd invitation already. Sad.

I don't like this 2750 trend. I can't believe it only went down 2 points. Why the sudden increase in people with such high sores? With all the nomination programs opening up wouldn't that mean even note people with 600+ ??
The nomination programs only nominate people who did not make the cutoff in EE. If you look at the latest OINP nomination they have invited people up to CRS 444 on Jan 25 as 444 was cutoff on Jan 24. Same with the NOI sent before this in Jan. Once these candidates accept NOI from province, their score does go 600+ but they are invited in a separate draw for Provincial Nomination category. I am anticipating the cut-off to go down to 440 at least by Feb end. Like if you agree :)

Why did u decline ITA?
@h1b2pr When I had created my profile I was planning to move alone and once settled will bring my family through sponsorship. While I was getting all the documentation, medicals, PCC etc completed, I was researching on the process of bringing family later and found it is really a hectic and long process. I then decided that they will join me and the application also allowed me to change that detail with my application active. I also did not think it would be a problem as I was not adding any points for my spouse so my score should have no impact. Later on Jan 24 I read in a thread that someone's score went down if they choose Spouse accompanying. I decided to verify that and when I calculated the CRS by choosing the options Spouse accompanying vs Spouse not accompanying, the score did go down. I was landing at 445 but the Invitation I got was cut-off at 446. That would mean rejection later. Hence declined and created profile again with 445 Spouse accompanying. It was really frustrating to see that having accompanying spouse was reducing points from Age factor, Foreign experience factor, Education factor as well as Canadian experience factor. Overall 30 points reduced. Still not too bad as 445 should come good in upcoming draws.

Thanks for sharing info regarding family joining u later... I am almost in a similar situation..without spouse I am at 451 but with spouse at 439.. was thinking from last few days to change spouse accompanying to "no" to get ITA sooner as nothing can be said on CIC pattern.. but as u mentioned its much difficult later so i will wait for few more draws and see.. hope this wednesday there is a draw ...
Must be frustrating for u.. still your score is very good ..All the best for the next draw..

Thank you for your kind words. This decision is completely your own, but looking at the snippet from CIC News below, I feel it would be worth waiting for you. Never loose hope.
"For the most part, CRS cut-off scores in 2017 have varied from the low 400s to high 450s, with scores in the 430s occurring most often. This is already a big improvement over 2016, which was characterized by draws with low ITAs and high CRS cut-off scores. The lowest CRS score in 2016 was 453. With more ITAs expected to be issued in 2018 than 2017, it is hoped the CRS scores will continue to drop even further."
