me and my wife got married in pakistan as we both have pakistani passports, but my wife have US green card and i have Canadian PR card now i am applying for her spouse visa for canada. what should i put in form where it asks " What country does the person being sponsored reside in? (required) " should i write USA or Pakistan? as she have pakistani passport and US green card?

You should pick the country where she is physically living.

hi thanks for answering but currently she is in canada and living with me. she came as visitor. so should i write canada then?

Since you are both legally married and she has a legal resident visitor status in Canada. You may sponsor her under the Spouse or Common-law partner in Canada class......i.e., inland sponsorship application.

You could apply under the Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada Class if your spouse or common-law partner:
  • lives with you in Canada
  • has valid immigration status in Canada, (i.e.,...your wife must be a legal status e.g., visitor, student visa in Canada as of the date you apply)
  • would like to apply for, and qualifies for, an Open Work Permit so that they can work while the application is being processed
