Dear Friends,

Am from India, recently have received acceptance letter from University of Regina, SK for doing my M.A.Sc. full time 24 months with full stipend for the same period. Initially during appication University has asked me for IELTS test score later based on undergraduate academic merits and work experience they have told IELTS is not required and approved my application. At present (19-July-2016) I have applied for visa based on acceptance letter from university along with a email reply from Faculty of Graduate Studies stating IELTS not required since am fully qualified for the programme.

Now doubt is will this be fine for Visa approval or might cause some chances for rejection?

kindly help I need to be there by 10th September

Kindly help what should I be doing at this point!!

Regards

Hello,

As per the checklist of study permit from India. It is Highly Recommended to submit English language proficiency test score.

But, This varies case by case. I have some friends who have been selected for masters in canada without IELTS (or toefl) requirement. (they have exempted some universities in India as they have mutual tie-ups with this university) Now they have applied for visa without IELTS, but with a letter form current university stating that English is the language of instruction. I am also waiting for their decision (out of curiosity). One has applied on 30 jun and other on 8th july. I will post here once I hear from them about their decision.

Btw If I were you I wouldn't take a risk for applying without IELTS, or toefl. God forbid, If you get a rejection, you might not get the funding for deferral to jan intake.

I have completed my bachelors in English literature from India with first class. I also have a level B1 in French. I have 7.5 overall bands in ielts. L-8.5, R-8 , W-7, S-7.5. I also worked as a preschool teacher since 6 months. I have been rejected Canadian student visa 2 years back. Is applying for early childhood education advisable for my profile ? If not, which course should I apply to ?

Hi KB3,

Hello buddy - any updates from your frnd who have submitted on 30th June and 8th July - kindly reply - I have also submitted the certificate from current university stating English is the language of instruction.

Would be so helpful for me as am expecting my results anywhere between 15th to 20th Aug - bit nervous :)
