Hi,

I’d like to know if family is applying for TRV, do they have to provide marriage certificate with the application? They have a 12 year old daughter as well and marriage was solemnised 14 years back but no registration done that time.

Please advise coz its really time consuming process to apply for marriage certificate. Or they can apply without certificate in case VO asks then they wud apply for it. Its time and money involved in registration.

Thanks in advance

Are you applying for several people simultaneously?

To answer your question:
1. Do their passports mention each other as spouse?

2. Does the birth certificate of the daughter mention them as her parents?

They can submit either of the above documents in lieu of a marriage certificate

A word of caution:
A couple of days ago, you had inquired about your sisters' dates of birth (official documents show they are born just two months apart).

As you are applying for many people simultaneously, you would want to ensure that each applicant can prove s/he has individual strong ties to return home to + adequate finances..... especially to overcome the 'Family ties are stronger to Canada' reasoning.

You would not want to apply for everyone if they are unable to demonstrate such ties + if they don't have history of traveling abroad together as a family

Yes Bryanna, that query was related to family information form of this family’s application who are going to apply for visa. Main applican’t works in government department and daughter studies in school. They have about CAD 14000 in the account to maintain for 12 days (stay request) plus i will accomany them as i am aus citizen have ETA and got enough money to support them while there and i have provided declaration and bank statements.
My sister has travelled to Australia two time and my niece once and brother in law has worked in UAE as a engineer and has a dependent mother in india to show family ties. Cover letter, purpose of visit and travel history all available.

I hope their case would be strong enough to show that they will leave canada at the end of the visit.

Do u want me to add some more details to application Bryanna?

Thanks

It is difficult to advise without knowing the list of documents that each applicant will be submitting + individual circumstances + purpose/duration of their visit and when

IMO, it's going to be a bit of a challenge for them to be approved that's because:
1. Your brother-in-law/sister do not own property or immovable assets

2. All of them would like to visit together + they have not traveled abroad on short visits to visa-required countries as a family

3. There's no really compelling reason to visit Canada (No family or relatives). They would need to convince the visa officer why Canada, why not another country (for example, Australia where they can holiday as a family)

Your documents + you wanting to visit at the same time will not impact their TRVs.
You need an eTA as an Australian citizen. Have you applied for it?

1. Does your brother-in-law work in a government department that handles sensitive information/ research/ issues of national interest? Or police/judiciary/defense services?

2. Your brother-in-law would need an NOC (No Objection Certificate) + leave approval letter for the specific dates of his visit + salary statement + bank statement to confirm the salary transfers + ITRs + pension fund contributions + benefits he gets because of his employment

3. His stay in the UAE will not be considered as travel history because he worked there = Long-stay in the UAE as compared to the short-intended visit for Canada

4. When do they intend to visit?

5. Also have you (not your sister/BIL) purchased confirmed plane tickets? You would need to include the tickets + your travel itinerary to prove that you would be visiting at the same time as them. Have you visited Canada earlier? You would also need to include copies of your passport for their application (you've stated you will support their visit)

No property but the house they live in belongs to his mother

2. All of them would like to visit together + they have not traveled abroad on short visits to visa-required countries as a family

Thats correct

I have a ETA available which is valid until 2023.

1. Does your brother-in-law work in a government department that handles sensitive information/ research/ issues of national interest? Or police/judiciary/defense services?

No

2. Your brother-in-law would need an NOC (No Objection Certificate) + leave approval letter for the specific dates of his visit + salary statement + bank statement to confirm the salary transfers + ITRs + pension fund contributions + benefits he gets because of his employment

He has applied for NOC plus employment letter, has PPF account+two years ITR

3. His stay in the UAE will not be considered as travel history because he worked there = Long-stay in the UAE as compared to the short-intended visit for Canada

Understandable

4. When do they intend to visit?

March 12 to 23 March

5. Also have you (not your sister/BIL) purchased confirmed plane tickets? You would need to include the tickets + your travel itinerary to prove that you would be visiting at the same time as them. I have not purchased tickets yet i am thinking to just get the travel itinerary, i don’t wanna go there alone in case they don’t get approved. I have provided them my passport copy and ETA copy.

Does your niece have a school break at that time?

Does your brother-in-law/sister live in a house provided by the government? Or is it rented by him?

Does he get any other perquisites or benefits as a government employee?

Is your brother-in-law likely to be promoted? Does he have to return to India for some specific work commitment?

What documents would he be submitting to prove that his mother lives with them? Does he have siblings who live in the same city as his mother? Does she have any medical condition that requires attention?

What ties can your sister prove? Is she working/business/volunteers in a charity or social organization?

She will have around 10 days off during that time after her exams

He lives with his mother so does my sister as As his mother cannot live alone.

There are benefits available to government employees but i am not sure about it

It has potential for promotion and salary increments every year. He gets projects every week which he needs to do it involves dealing with government officials/ministers/courts and public projects.

What documents would he be submitting to prove that his mother lives with them? Does he have siblings who live in the same city as his mother? Does she have any medical condition that requires attention?

He could submit her ID card (Adhaar Card) or Ration Card. My brother in law has a brother who is married and lives in Australia and two sisters are married in other city.

What ties can your sister prove? Is she working/business/volunteers in a charity or social organization?

She’s a housewife. She never done any job in her life.

@brownboy1

I would recommend that your brother-in-law, sister and niece should get visas for Australia first + visit Australia first together as a family.

IRCC would question why they want to visit Canada for 10 days (considerable expense, traveling across the globe, all three family members applying, no family/relatives in Canada, no previous travel, etc).

Also, you offering to pay for their expenses would make their financial situation to seem weak. It would be best if your brother-in-law proves that he can afford the detailed day-by-day itinerary + plane tickets (for all three) + hotel + expenses.... with his own finances. Your bank statements/passport copy/provisional flight bookings can be included with a statement that says you will be sharing the expenses as-and-wherever-required.

For your brother-in-law:
Employment: Employment letter + NOC/leave approval letter stating specific dates + 6 months' salary slips + 2 years ITRs + work commitments to return to with evidence (projects scheduled after he returns + evidence that no one else can do the work he does) + PPF statement + appraisal/ promotions and salary increment after he returns + benefits due to his employment + 6 months' bank statements + any financial investments (FDs, RDs, mutual funds, shares, EPF, etc) + credit cards and 2-3 months' credit card statements (not debit cards)

Detailed day-by-day itinerary as tourists with expense estimates (thorough research for sightseeing, cost of meals/ local travel/ travel insurance/ expenses/ surplus funds).

Proofs that he, his mom, his sister live at the same address + evidence that he pays for the utility bills/ rent (?) or property taxes/ medical insurance for his mom, etc.

Birth certificate of the niece + copy of your sister's passport + provisional hotel and flight bookings (not confirmed bookings)

For your sister:
One complete set of financial documents of your brother-in-law + a letter of financial support from him + any joint bank account statements and investments + copy of your brother-in-law's passport + birth certificate of the niece + detailed itinerary + provisional hotel and flight bookings (not confirmed bookings)

For your niece:
I would recommend they do not apply for your niece. They can apply for the niece after they are granted TRVs
