Hi everyone,
I am currently in Canada but is going to leave the country soon.

I have two questions:

1. When will I receive the actual document from CIC after getting the message of approval (visitor visa)?

2. What way can I contact CIC if I am about to leave but yet to receive the document?

Can please anyone share your timeline if you applied for a visitor visa extension in Canada?
I got the approval email 2 days ago. It says the secured document was sent yesterday (1/26).
Will I receive it by February 02?

If you applied to extend your stay, your visitor status will lapse when you leave the country

I know.
When can generally a person receive the document after getting the message?
Nobody here can predict how long will take.

And when you say you know, are you saying that you know if you applied to extend your stay in Canada that as soon as you leave the country that application is cancelled and is of no use to enter the country again anyway as just allows someone to stay longer without leaving.

Or are you saying you applied for a new visitor visa for travel into Canada.

I applied for visitor visa extension, but it took them to process it more than three months.
My plan is changed so I have to leave earlier than what I said on the application.
So basically, I am just waiting for it to cover my implied status.

Thanks anyway~

IRCC understands that plans/travel dates can change. You can leave even today without waiting for the decision/without waiting for your extension to be granted until the original date you intended to stay. It will not affect you
