Folks, I created my profile on Jan 2 for first time as joint filing (couple) and got the CRS score of 417. IELTS is 8 and NOC code is 2173.
Not sure what additional i need to improve my score. Probably get a job in toronto to improve score by 200. (day dreaming):)
Little disheartened on getting to see provincial nominations being sent at CRS >433 and CRS hovering around 445.

Comments please. Good Luck to everyone who are sailing in same boat as mine

I'm guessing your IELTS is LRSW 8777 or more. If not, you are missing a big score.
A job in 2173 will fetch you 50 not 200. 200 points is for senior executive roles NOC staring from 00.
Regarding, OINP.. just keep hopes, little may be. But keep hopes.

Hi friends. I heard there is a possibility that while OINP is processing application if a profile gets direct ITA, the person can ask for refund from OINP. Is this true or just a rumour and if yes then are OINP proactive in refunding the amount??

Please advise..

Please advise..
Fees are non-refundable unless your application is deemed to be incomplete or you withdraw your application before the OINP has started processing it. The Province of Ontario charges fees to recover the cost of administering the OINP. Since the application fee helps pay for the cost of processing applications, fees will not be refunded if the application is unsuccessful, if the applicant withdraws the application after the OINP has started to process it, or if the province cancels or withdraws the nomination.

That's on Page 26 in the Guide here
http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/prodconsum/groups/csc/@oipp/documents/document/oi_en_hcps_010517.pdf

I don't think anyone could give you a different answer.

What do you think guys ?
It seems or just a guess that they would put up an In-Demand list of occupation for giving preference. Or could also declare any other tweaks in their criteria for issuing NOIs. They’ve the simplest criteria as compared to other Provinces, hence this could be a possible move to add filters as more and more people have the basic criteria matched already.

Hope for the best.

Thanks.

Most probably they are going to open PhD and post graduate stream, that's how they announced last year for people to be ready.
