Vistot Record Expiring in May need help

Hello everyone need your help on which application to apply for.I came to Canada last year on an Artist Visa and my visa expired last December 31, 2017 but before it expired i applied for an extension because I'm pregnant and it was too risky for me to travel and the immigration extended my stay till May 2018.The father of my son to be proposed to me on New Year's Eve and i said YES we then got married on Jan 10, 2018.
My question is i now want to stay in Canada for good but my husband can't sponsor me as a spouse because of the 5 yr ban because 3 yrs ago he was also sponsored to become a Permanent Resident by his ex wife.
What can we do for me not to leave Canada, our son will be a Canadian Citizen,my husband is a Citizen now and I won't have status starting May 2018.
Pliz help 9 months pregnant and this is stressing me.

You could apply for an extension again, but there are no guarantees. The child being Canadian won’t help improve your chances as it affords you no residency rights. You’ll just have to hope they approve the extension, but 2 years will likely be difficult to get.

Thank you for responding but Can I apply for a work permit whilst i wait for the sponsorship application.
